Morning all and  back to CY.

A good, though tiring, day out yesterday. DH recovered sufficiently to go wargaming in the evening - do I sound surprised? ('cos I'm not!)

    So far today I have
    - re-revised the files I did yesterday and emailed the new version to my colleague
    - printed out and delivered some photos for the Chernobyl boys
    - emptied and washed out the bins
    - WUDUPA: had to get out a clean tea-towel, so the ironing basket will be filling up again soon :p
    - put away clean clothes and bedding
    - tidied bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and LR
    - started packing.

Need to make up my mind what I'm wearing for our friends' Golden Wedding concert this evening.

DH is emailing. Once I've packed, we're off to Wales for 36 hours :D

See you later. (((Hugs))) especially to Bossy & Little Mr Moo, spoons and sticks to all who have lost their GUAG x

Chief slattern reporting in, encouraged by the number of people who have problems finding where the iron is kept. To the person who asked how to deal with the mountain of their husband's and children's ironing - teach them to do their own. I have no idea how women got saddled with the job if they don't enjoy it or don't have time to get round to it, but I'm struggling to find a reason we should be responsible. Slightly worried that people who stay at the chalet might expect the 100% cotton bedding and tea towels to be ironed ....

More gibble sorted and removed from the attic, car loaded for trip to the dump, to the dump, to the dump dump dump today after I've decluttered OH to the station at the start of his journey to watch his team this afternoon and then on to the Fringe tomorrow. (He's ironed all of his own shirts and trews, too, just in case anyone was wondering. He's the type that just does the fronts of his shirts and the cuffs, but hey, I don't have to, so I'm not criticizing.)

(((Hugs))) for you Bossy and CY, *healing vibes* for Dizzy's dogs, and everyone who's dealing with 'stuff.'
    Better is good enough.

If I was staying in your chalet, on holiday, I wouldn't care a **** whether the tea towels were ironed or not. When I'm on holiday, everything about it is holiday :D "When in Rome..."

Does that make you feel better, HB?

PS: Prepare for a FlyLady meet in your neck of the woods - my friends are returning to Plymouth for 2 years

Waving from the sofa again. I am not yet dressed, but will be soon I promise! My excuse is that I came down to see the end of the Test Match.

DH has left to set up the pitch for cricket, DS will join him soon. Looking forward to an afternoon with complete control of the TV handset.

Feeling a lot more optimistic today. Knowing I am well enough to be on my own is very encouraging. Last cycle I relied a lot on DD2. She is now in Spain on holiday, so I will have to manage this week.....

Hope everyone is having a good day....

I can't remember who was asking about washing - my advice would be can you hang up your husbands shirts on hangers when they come out of the machine? (Especially if you are drying indoors). Lakeland sell some clips that fit over the top of doors and you can put 5 hangers on each one. I find if you hang them up immediately they need much less in the way of ironing...

Boy and bike reunited! :T it's not damaged at all :T

Stress levels returning to normal so will do some catching up this aft.

Lady at ballet club has loaned us tap shoes for DD - until we get her some for her birthday.

Think we need some quiet time...

Well I sat and read a little of the Marie kondo book, and a trickle of guag emerged. I laid out all the shoes in lines and everyone has gone through them. About 10 pairs have gone from the shoe rack!:T

Have been pottering but have grown a few bits so that feels good!

Just updating list and then I need to paint another coat is ds2s room before getting ready for the bbq.

There were several reasons I've always thought the world of you Ionafan, and now I have more evidence that you're very special. As to Flyladies meeting up in the southwest - oooohhh I'm defo up for THAT!

Yay! Marvellous news, I'm really, really pleased.

Dog parked with neighbour for long walk in Plymbridge Woods (v. beautiful), OH decluttered off up the smoke, dump visited, CS visited to drop off [STRIKE]carp[/STRIKE] profitable stuff (something turned down at the local CS yesterday positively welcomed with the volunteer saying 'Ooooh, I need some of those'), serviced fire-extinguisher and clean unironed laundry dropped off at chalet, forgotten three week old chalet rent found by current occupant and handed over (ooops), dog stuff dropped off at dog charity bin in supermarket, post posted, shopping shopped, RSPCA post-adoption home check successfully decluttered, once I'd got the dog back.

    Having
    a breather.
    Better is good enough.
