I have yet to see a car or motorbike drive up to a red light, which has been red for some time, and carry on straight through without taking a breath.

Yet everyday I see numerous cyclists do exactly that.

If is simply foolish to argue that the "diverse" group of cyclists does not have a significant colour blindness problem amongst its membership.

If cyclists want to improve their name, then in their "diverse" group, the non-colour blind should begin condemning the colour blind, instead of trying to point the finger elsewhere.

Well you see. Cars are limited to who is in front. Those behind the lead car may do just that. However they cannot.
So how can you draw a comparable sample?

What are you doing about drink/drug driving?
    Speeding?

Duh the hard of thinking are out today.

TS10 are mostly issued by traffic light cameras. How many cyclists have number plates?

Mind you it was hilarious last year when the Met Police were stationed by lots of red lights after the run of cyclist deaths in London, to stop more cyclists trying to kill themselves. The horror on their face as they sailed through yet another red light, only to see the Police officer step in front of them. Priceless, I could have watched all day.

And that is aside from the issue that TS10 does not differentiate between an 'amber gambler' that lost, and a cyclist that sails through two minutes after the lights changed.

The difference is though I'm able to differentiate between individual drivers and drivers as a whole so I don't blame all drivers for the actions of the individuals which is sadly a skill you are entirely lacking in.

Most drivers don't drive straight through red lights that have been red for two minutes. Lots of cyclists do.

Seems to me to be a reasonable means to profile inconsiderate law breakers, who need to be dealt with.

As for 'cyclists improving their name', well I had to laugh at that - do you see any cyclists (including myself) endorsing others here to run red lights?

I don't read the cyclists on here or anywhere else cyclists congregate, condemning them for their illegal and dangerous behaviour.

How many threads on the motoring board maligning illegal drivers?
You will notice (unless I missed it) no cyclists in the motoring section in the same vein as many motorists seem so keen to post in the cycling (and public transport) board.

And yet again, a cyclist not willing to condemn the illegal and dangerous actions carried out by a significant number of their group.

Please, keep on proving my point.

You need to try and stay on track old boy.
The thread you quoted bears no relevance to your reply.
Try and keep the frothing down.
I'll ask again. You obviously missed it.

    Speeding?

Nothing, because I am not employed by the Police.

Is drink/driving a bad thing. Of course it is. But is it that common, nope.

Last year my local police force set up a roadblock between around 4 and 7pm on Christmas eve and stopped every vehicle leaving the town (apparently around 2,500). They had been quite clever and set the roadblock so drivers would have committed themselves and would not be able to turn around and avoid it. How many people did they catch over the limit. None.

Speeding, again a bad thing. Is it that common. Not in my experience, as to use your prior argument, most drivers stay below the limit, so the people who want to speed generally cannot speed.

Now this is not to say that nobody drinks/drives and nobody speeds, but the thing the cyclist advocates fail to acknowledge is that a small minority of drivers break the law, but a significant number of cyclist blatantly break the law.

Now, what are YOU doing to condemn these cycling law breakers.

Oh we do! You just choose to ignore it, because it doesn't suit your argument.
But while motorists kill about 10,000 times the number that cyclists kill, your blinkered tirade on road safety is as effective as !!!!ing in the wind.
You need to calm down and recognise the big problem. The big problems are drink and drug driving, boy racers, sport motircyclists, tired drivers and elderly drivers. These groups cause well over 50% of road fatalities and very serious injury RTCs.
Cyclists don't feature as a problem. They are usually only victims. Victims of bad attitudes like yours.
Make everything as simple as possible, but not simpler.
