Used to have a Co-op current account.

Cant find anything in T&Cs to say that you cant switch and get offer if previous customer.

    Is this correct?

Depends when you used to have an account - if you didn't have an account with them on the 1 Oct 2014, then you are classed as new customer. But if you have received a switch bonus at any point since February 2014 you won't be eligible for the offer.

Don't hold your breath waiting for them to payout though! I opened account 26 June, they screwed up the first attempt to switch (despite the 35 minute phone call) so I had to go through the whole blooming call again - not a happy bunny! Finally got the £100 switch bonus on the 1 September but am still waiting on the £40 from Quidco - original estimated payment date was 5 August.

TBH at this point I just wish they'd make a decision whether to pay out or not. As soon as they do, I'm off to YorksBank for the £150 (fingers crossed the offer will still exist then) but I don't want to switch and then they decide not to pay the £40 because of the YB switch.

I'm in the same position although haven't been waiting as long as you. I've decided to just switch my co-op account anyway because I want to switch to first direct and their offer for £150 expires this Sunday....when it will most likely go back down to £125 or lower. There is nothing in the terms and conditions on the Quidco deal that stipulate I have to stay with Co-op to get the money so if they don't pay out I will put up a fight. In any case, it will work out as around a maximum of £15 I would have lost out on so I'm prepared to take the gamble.

  • Quidco seem to be having horrendous problems with their computer systems at the moment. It is impossible to register bank details to receive a BACS payment, and their latest email says they do not know when they will solve the problem., which has been going on for at least two weeks. Perhaps they should advertise themselves as the Cash back company, that cannot give you Cash back?

Received the £100 switch payment into my Coop account today but also today the tracked cashback from Quidco got declined. Anyone else had this? No reason it should be declined as complied with all the T&C (hence receiving the £100 part).

When I switched to Co-op they also declined my cashback (through Top Cashback) despite clearly meeting the (albeit rather unclear) terms and conditions.

Yes I sent them a message yesterday and awaiting reply. Will report back when I get one. Will contact Coop if Quidco won't sort it.

Quidco has come back to me and said that Coop has not given a reason for why cashback was declined so it has filed a claim for me. Guessing this is going to take a while to get resolved!
