Just read your diary, well done you are doing well and seem focussed.
Just a thought, it seems you can do the writing fine but the promoting yourself is difficult - we seem to do ourselves down I think... wondered if you had a friend who would do your promoting for you - you could even give them a percentage of what you get from the work.
Just a thought, but keep going!0 -
Hi ABA,
I just read through your diary and have subscribed. You're doing really well. I have anxiety and depression and it cripples me sometimes, especially beating myself up over all the great things I could've done had I not got into debt!
All the best and I look forward to hearing your updates.0 -

Wow, thank you everyone — I can't believe anybody reads this! Lol! :j
Doobop — you are spot onI have to start thinking more about marketing/promoting and whether I know anyone who could do it for me. I have taken a guide to small business marketing out of the library, so I hope that will help.
I wrote another 5 articles for the same client today — took me about 3 hours and 15 minutes, so a little better! I enjoyed today's topic more too. At least the client seems to like what I write
Did a little bank account jiggling earlier... I'm saving my EF in my ISA and my rainy day fund in my online saver. I will try to avoid spending either of them, but I like having a little flexibility and the option to spend some of my rainy day fund — if I decide it's worth it! I might put a little of it towards an Arvon (writing) course next year, if I can get a grant to cover part of the cost. I don't know. It's just nice to consider the possibility.Rainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500

Got my £20 for the guitar — it went straight in the savings pot
Feel like I've lost my SBing mojo. Just don't have the energy to keep at it when there are so few surveys, let alone ones I qualify for. Ah well, it's probably best to focus on my writing anyway!
Felt quite motivated earlier today, but tired now. I should be working on my ebook or a short story or an article...Rainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500

Feeling quite meh today. Staying up till 2am to watch Murray lose didn't help. Yesterday was a bit c**p all round: it started with my dog eating the butterfly I was trying to rescue from between my blind and wondow and didn't get much better.
My motivation has dipped again. My main goal for today is to write the intro for my next ebook. I should probably submit more proposals on Upwork too. Might do some freewriting to see if I can find my mojo.Rainy day fund — 210/1000 Emergency fund — 1019/1500

Not really :-/ Except that I got asked to write 3 more articles for The Client, so at least I did one productive thing today!
Think I'm also anxious about tomorrow — I've got an appointment with a Mind counsellor at Working Links. I met her a few weeks ago and she seems really nice, but I hate venturing out and having to drive 25 miles each way. I suppose the solution is to work out how to earn at least £100 a week through freelancing, so that I can come off ESA and still cover my costs.
I'm hoping the counsellor can help me find some motivation, stop procrastinating and to be more confident. I think confidence is the main problem and causes the othersI'm really frustrated with myself for not getting on and doing things.
