I'm not an eco-warrier by any means, but I do completely agree with Pendragon. 94% of Cory's Shearwater seabirds have ingested plastic (ref: http://www.wildlifeextra.com/go/news/seabirds-plastic-873.html#cr).
The poor s*ds (non-human) who have the misfortune of having to share their planet with us got along fine until we came along with our sh*te "convenience inventions" and stitched them up.:(0 -
I can tell which customers are still won't have a bag and moan its my employer's fault. Its the law. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

I've always thought that even "bags for life" should incur the 5p "tax" because, at the time of purchase, they're being used for the first and maybe the only time, so they're just like the so-called "single use" bags. Of course, if and when you use them for the second time, you claim the 5p back. Simple. If you fold it in half, will an Audi A4 fit in a Citroen C5?

What bugs me is when charity shops want you to pay for a carrier bag. You know they get loads of donations in carrier bags , why don't they recycle them? but they throw them away .
I agree with this, if they recycled the useable ones then the 5p charge (in Wales) has already been paid and they can't legally charge it under the plastic bag charge brought in by the Welsh Government0 -

It's not right it seems the government is making the taxpayer pay through the nose for their own mistakes. i know there will be a charge from october but it is just another way for osborne and his banker mates to overcharge the public for mistakes they didnt make it the first place.
i wont be paying for any bags.0
