Reporting the first of Augusts NSD's :T
Am going away today to stay with a friend until Weds by the seaside so won't be expensive but will be spending some budgeted for money.
Going to get husband a few supplies today so he does not starve while I'm away.
Be back to not spending at the end of the week.
Congratulations to Nargle, enjoy your victory meal :beer:NST#14/20 -
Good Morning
Nargle I am very very proud to know you and very very jealous. Enjoy that trip into the bank :heartsmil:heartsmil
I am happy, delighted and a little bit amazed that I can declare NSD #1.
Off with Igor's net to catch #2 although I have a feeling its gonna be a slippery little burger.

I've been a-pondering whilst sitting in the undergrowth waiting for the next unsuspecting NSD to dart by..........what does my NSD look like??
I have to pay the bills and I have to buy food and diesel. These are all on my spreadsheet and are all accounted and budgeted for.
I think that - for me - anything else is a spend.
So, if its not on the shopping list, not fuelling my car and not paying a bill then it's a spend.
What does everyone else do?

Yes, freeby, anything outside your budgeted expenditure will ruin plans for a NSD. Now we all have to live and occasionally treat ourselves to make life worth living so why not set aside a treat fund? You can either allocate a monthly amount on your spreadsheet, or draw out some cash and put it in a petty cash jar to dip into for odds and ends. Once it is gone, that's it till next month. To keep hold of potential NSDs you do things like meal planning, taking lunch to work, recycling and altering things rather than buying new, take books or e-readers away with you instead of buying glossy magazines full of adverts that make you feel hard done by if you don't have the latest 300 quid handbag etc . You can be money savvy, you can be frugal even, but you can still live well without unnecessary spending. One life - your life - live it!0

Anything not budgeted for is a spend, basically.
I also believe in allowed emergency spends ie running out of milk, needing to buy a lightbulb.0 -
