what do you mean by that?

What I mean is that the local population would find it pretty hard to park their cars if the streets where full of people using them as airport carparks. Stansted has massive long stay car parks and excellent public transport links, why not use one of them?

when there is no restriction in parking, I am free to park
    Can't argue with that statement.

I am extremely surprised (not really) that you find that not acceptable
You misunderstand. I find your attitude to the idea that holidaymakers should be able to clog up a local town to save themselves a bit of car parking cost unacceptable.
is it ok for the local town to take advantage of the proximity of the airport making tons of money and jobs, while it's NOT ok to deal with the negative impacts of that, one of which is the increased mobility and parking usage?
Yes it is called traffic management and ALL towns and cities do that in one way or another. They recognised a traffic problem and dealt with it.

Try parking in the towns around Heathrow, Gatwick etc. You will find the same sort of restrictions.

No, it's called not being selfish and considering other people above yourself. Something that is getting rarer and rarer these days.

I doubt you'd like it if everyone from this forum parked in your road and you had to park it three streets away.

    Start considering other people.

how can you be like that?
I didn't park at a residential parking or someone's private parking
I parked at a FREE to park place
    so I didn't occupy anyone's parking space
plus you are NOT guaranteed to have parking outside your house, if it is not designated as residential
    it's first come first served
    deal with it

    residential parkings are growing because:
    1) locals pay excessive sums for houses and demand everything
    2) councils get votes from locals and pamper them
    3) councils make money from paid parking and fines
    4) councils make money by having private companies running parkings so they ban parking in every public road to force people pay for parking

You keep showing ignorance for how local government actually works.

I've never seen councils pamper locals at all. My local council's residents parking system doesn't make money at all, and they aren't meant to.

If you couldn't park in your street because loads of people were parking there, you'd be calling for more control yourself.

Book your airport parking in advance and you can save money without being an ignorant and inconsiderate person.

You just don't think that rules should have to apply for you, as demonstrated by your impolite demand for information at the start of the thread. The world doesn't revolve around you.

    you are extremely ignorant
it is not selfish to park in a free space which is first come first serve
it is selfish to expect no one to park there, just because your house is close and ofcourse while you have your own space inside your garden etc
