I can't believe I haven't updated for 4 days, time is going way too quickly....except in relation to the house purchase, mortgage is making everything drag because I have convinced myself we are about to be declined :( Hopefully I'm just stressing and over reacting about nothing. Here's hoping!

I won a £30 voucher to spend in our local walkabout so we headed there on Friday to have a bit of time just the 2 of us, which was nice. Not so nice was the 3 trains after we decided to head home being cancelled or delayed massively! We live a 20 min train ride from the nearest walkabout and left walkabout at 10.15PM. Got home at 12.30AM!

We were going to go to a bonfire on Saturday with my family but couldn't find any ear defenders that my niece could wear (apparently they aren't recommended for under 6 months) so we gave up on that and OH and I had a quiet night in.
I spent Sunday with my niece while my sister did a wedding hair trial for her friend (she's a hairdresser) in the next room. We watched Cinderella and had a lot of cuddles :)
The little lady is becoming quite the chunky monkey now that she's starting to put weight on. She's 8 weeks on Friday and has gone from 8lb 6 oz to 9lb 1 oz in 5 days :D

On the debt busting front, I'm waiting for the yougov payout to appear and I'm only £5.90 away from a onepoll payout so hoping that comes around fairly quickly. I'm still selling on eBay and making payments as and when I can with that, plus the regular payments so it is going down, just not quickly enough!

Forgot to mention that our buyer has now had her mortgage offer, so at least that hurdle is over and done with, and we received our authority to proceed from the Help2Buy people so that's another part done and dusted.
I just need the mortgage to be ok and then maybe I'll start to sleep at night again!

You sneaky beaky! I've looked at your sig - another £110 paid off in mere days. Youre a machine! I don't know how you're paying everything off and paying solicitors! You're amazing. I've totally forgotten about yougov payment lol.
Glad your little princess is doing well. Feels great :) xxx

I feel quite calm today Bob, I think I've just accepted there is nothing I can do at the moment so I'm being all serene. Most unlike me :rotfl:

Little one is amazing. She properly smiles now and is developing quite the personality. She definitely knows what she wants!

To be honest Kitten, we are getting £1000 towards legal fees from the developer which was unexpected so we aren't stressing quite as much because of that - we aren't feeling flush but I'm very aware that the only reason for a mortgage decline would be outstanding credit card debt so I am trying my best to get it to as little as possible.
My minimum payments have all come out over the past week, bar one which will be next week so that helps the figure look healthier :D

eBay is my friend at the moment, I'm listing all my beautiful dresses which is not going too well as I'm desperate to keep a couple of them :o I may or may not have listed 2 at a rather high price in the hope they don't sell.....:p

Have just noticed I am only £45.01 away from the 7 thousands....hmmmm.

This is my new eBay target. Saying that I have a £40 DD still to come out for MBNA.

I keep swinging between wanting to save eBay funds for Christmas, and paying them off my debt. I'll let you all guess which is winning :rotfl:

Another thing I forgot to mention - my wonderful grandparents sent me a card with £20 in for no real reason other than they are lovely. I wanted to pay it off my debt but OH reminded me that occasionally it's ok to spend on stuff we are planning.

We have had our eye on some bedside tables from ikea - £40 each, was never going to happen. On a local facebook sales site a lady was selling a pair for £30, we agreed on £25 so I got 2 bedside tables which were on the wish list for only £5 of our own money :D

  • Hope you hear something about your mortgage soon Kirsty. There's nothing worse than waiting.

Glad to hear your niece is putting weight on. I will have another hat in the post this week hopefully. Just waiting for DD to finish the Pom Pom lol.
