We've packed a few bits and pieces - we started when we put the house on the market so it had less of our personal items on show. There are a few boxes currently stored at my office - one of the only perks of my jobs haha.

Brilliant Tink, I'll keep my eye out - thank you again :D Little lady is now 7lb 12oz - turning into a chunk now that she is keeping food down - she is putting on average an oz a day at the moment! Little man is 8lb 10oz - he's a guzzler too! They are so lovely :D

Currently doing spreadsheets until they are coming out of my ears of new costs, completion costs etc! Hope you've had a lovely weekend Tink xx

Sounds exciting, I would love to start packing to get out of here but need to see how the pooches get on first.

I've been playing around with my planner and spreadsheets today to try and get ready for Christmas. Also needed to sort when I can get a few little gifts for DD to take to London with me.

I keep flicking back on here to see if anyone has posted in my subscriptions but its been pretty quiet this weekend.

    Tink xx

Hi becs, thanks for stopping by and for the encouragement :)

Hope the pooches got on ok Tink - I'm off to catch up properly as have been trying to read on my phone and it's rubbish!

Got full mortgage application going in tomorrow and I am so nervous. It's a much bigger mortgage than last time and I was a wreck then so god only knows how I will be for the next few weeks. Apparently the mortgage lender we are going with has a 15 working day turnaround time at the moment  OH will be pulling his hair out with me after a few days I'm sure :rotfl:

    Wish me luck :D

Totals are still coming down VERY slowly and I'm getting really frustrated by it. This is my problem in some ways - I find it difficult to accept that I can't have it all - a shiny new house which has immediate expenditure (sols fees, mortgage valuation fees etc) and pay down my debt at a fast rate. At the moment it's one or the other and I'm finding it difficult to see the percentages slowing down.

I sound really ungrateful today - I'm not really, I just want the debt gone but I am so very grateful to be moving into a beautiful new house (all being well)

I'm trying not to be a nightmare with the mortgage advisor but they aren't very good at keeping in contact - I expected some form of communication to confirm the full application was going in but I've heard nothing and the valuation fee hasn't been taken yet which is annoying as I want to pay it off debt now it's sitting in my bank account waiting :)

Am 50p away from £50 payout on yougov and waiting for that last survey is painful :o £9 from payout on 1P so hopefully that won't take too long - I'm aiming for before Xmas so fingers crossed for me :)

It's normal to feel like you want two things at once. You have been so committed to the debt busting, it's bound to feel strange to now prioritise something else.

Yes kirsty! That's why I haven't been here. Putting money aside for costs is hard work when you're in debt. The thing is though the debt is still getting serviced and going down in your case so you're doing great. Not long til its all done and then you can get back to it. I wanted to move in June so I'm all in a knot. We have to get all our credit cards paid off for our mortgage! Luckily getting a family loan. Your mortgage will be fine just keep chasing. I know what you mean though - you can't call only email and they seem to only work 2 hours a week. Number of out of offices I got drove me mad.
On the plus you're buying brand new - you have no scary big costs to come up - it's all under warranty. You can hammer the debt once its done.
I think your money management is amazing xxxx

Kirsty I agree with Bob that you have been so committed to paying your debt off and buying your new home is getting in the way but just think in the New Year you will be able to get back to it and have something lovely and new to keep you focused.
