Your job sounds really exciting Kirsty.....:D

I'm here fannying around with s spreadsheet in between MSE ing :naughty:

I must make it sound more exciting than it is really :rotfl: No day is the same and I do love what I do but I'm sad and a complete bore about the sector I work in - if anyone asks me a question about it, I have a tendency to go on and on without noticing the glazed eyes :rotfl: It's interesting to me :o
It has come around so quick!

Fingers crossed for the gas bill x

Thank you - I'm already stressing about it!

    Afternoon all!

I'm feeling quite chuffed with myself - Managed to get a boots yankee candle glitch this morning so got 6 large jars for £44. I was planning on buying 3 anyway as pre planned presents - if I'd have paid full price it would have been £71.97 for the 3 so I'm pretty chuffed that I got 6 for much less and the other 3 will go in the presents box ready for birthdays/christmases next year! :money:

OH is out tonight so I'm planning an evening of wrapping presents - I want to get as many out of the way as possible so I've got less to do as I get bigger - it's a struggle to get on the floor now as my hips are really playing up and causing a lot of pain - they keep locking which is joyful  OH would wrap everything in tin foil if I let him so I need to get ahead of the game :rotfl:

I've got a few things on the black friday watch list for tomorrow so hopefully I can bag some bargains which will finish my christmas shopping :)

Hope the gas bill isn't too bad Kirsty - we had a similar issue when we moved into a new build house and the utilities company kept saying they had no record of the meter etc. DH kept on their back but it still took months to get anywhere. I'm sure they should allow you to pay in installments as it was their error, not yours.

Re your wrapping, can't you do it on a table or something to save getting down onto the floor? I do mine on the dining table to save my back. :)

I was really worried about going on maternity leave and not having my job to go to every day. Once I had DS I didn't give a stuff anymore. :rotfl: Going back is going to kill me and I don't know what I'm going back to as my job role is being binned and the whole department is currently being ransacked by the profiteering franchise running it.

Sounds like a new build problem everywhere but I didn't think it would take 11 months to sort  I've had a letter from Ovo confirming our switch on 10th December which is great as I applied for it on Sept rates and they are honouring it as it's not my fault it couldn't go through :D

I'm almost done with wrapping now. I always do it on the living room floor whilst watching Miracle on 34th Street so it's a tradition. I'll do the last few presents I'm picking up over the next week then it will be down to OH to finish if I've forgotten anything as it's not much fun getting up and down with these hips anymore!

I think I'll probably be the same about work :o I can't imagine what I'll do with my time but I'm sure donut will make sure I don't get bored :rotfl:

Had a rather eventful day yesterday as had been having some intermittent pains for a few days and they got worse so I called midwife who thought I might have a UTI and told me to see Doc ASAP. Docs receptionist wouldn't give me an appointment and told me just to keep calling back to see if there had been a cancellation so I went to the walk in centre at the local hospital....6 hours later, no sign of any infections so I'd seen 2 consultants and been transferred to maternity where they did a swab to see if my waters were leaking and listened to baby 3 times over an hour to make sure he was happy. Irritated uterus apparently, which can cause contractions (not labour contractions, so no worries there) and can be brought on by anything really - I've been discharged with rules to take it easy and avoid stress along with some weird rules like don't let my bladder get too full but it was very scary!!

I'm taking it easy today apart from a visit to see a friend and her 8 week old tonight. Was going to try and do my last xmas bits today as Black Friday was a bit of a bust but I've decided to see what I can source online and then give it a bit more thought if I can't get what I need delivered.

Came straight home from hospital but have been made aware of a HR nightmare I'll need to deal with on Monday, so I'm trying to avoid worrying about that

Black Friday wasn't great but I managed to order a few things for donut and a maternity party dress for me at 50% off from Next.

Managed to get OHs phone - he's been after a samsung galaxy S8 but I made him do some research about the S7 edge and he decided there wasn't enough of a difference to warrant the price difference between the 2. Samsung had the S7 edge on offer for £399 and I did a trade in of an old phone so they sent me a code for £100 off the price - S7 edge purchased for £299 :D happy days. He's putting the sale of his current phone money towards it too (£50) so he is a happy bunny and I am too. Money for his xmas present towards it and nothing on credit :D

I can't believe Christmas is a month today - time is flying!

Oh Kirsty that does sound scary, glad everything is ok. I know it’s easier said than done but try your best not to even think about work.

This is the time to start pulling back a bit more (as you’ve already started doing) but now it’s even more important. I don’t think it would do any harm to let your work know that any undue stress will or is impacting on your health & pregnancy and that you need to avoid dramas if at all possible. I know how hard it is to let go of your work and how scary it feels but honestly it’s not worth making yourself ill. I know you know all this though, so lecture over. :)

Believe me the baby will definitely keep you busy when you’re on maternity leave and you’ll wonder what you actually did before he was here. :rotfl:

Thanks Sashy - to be honest even though I know the above, sometimes it needs to be pointed out to me or I get distracted by the stress without even realising it!

I didn't feel too bad yesterday and had some lovely cuddles with friends baby, so decided I would head over to the next town and meet my mom for lunch today (her and dad go on holiday for 2 weeks tomorrow so I wanted to spend some time with her but she had stuff she still needed to do so I thought I'd meet her at a retail park and we could kill 2 birds with one stone). Went into mothercare to look at the sale stuff and ticked some more things off the list - mittens, bibs and booties mainly, along with some sheets for the next to me crib :)
All going well until I just felt awful. Ran to the toilet and was pretty violently sick for 10 minutes then felt like I was going to pass out :(. They got me a chair as I apparently looked terrible and I felt a bit better so went to find mom with the shopping and she had paid for all the stuff I'd picked up. She's lovely to do it but I would like to be able to buy the baby some things without her or my dad jumping in to try and pay!

Went to Frankie and Bennys with a voucher as I think I hadn't eaten enough which was making me feel poorly, had some food which came straight back up so I came home and am curled on the sofa with a blanket feeling sorry for myself :o

OH and I had words on Thurs night which didn't really get resolved but we are both avoiding the topic after the Doctor said no stress but I think it's making me feel worse to have it on my mind so will be trying to have a calm discussion shortly....wish me luck!

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend :)
