It is important that we know where we come from, because if you do not know where you come from, then you do not know where you are, and if you don't know where you are, then you don't know where you are going. If you don't know where you're going, you're probably going wrong.

    Thank you!

I actually managed to escape halfway through yesterdays day and only went in for the last few hours of today. I'm very happy to say that everything went well and not one non conformity was raised so I'm thrilled. Still feel awful but still thrilled!

I made a call to the big boss who doesn't really have much to do with the day to day hands on running of the business but likes to be kept abreast so I let him know about the baby - he has been asking questions about why I'm so poorly so it was only a matter of time and my sicknote has hyperemesis gravidarum on so there was only so much I could do to hide it once that had been sent to our accountant. He was quite mixed which has upset me a bit. He was talking about how pregnant women can have good intentions but then not return to work and cause the company problems. I'm keeping a note of anything I'm not happy with as these people can be difficult at times and I wouldn't want to be on the back foot. Sound really suspicious don't I?!

Spoke to the Doctor again and he is going to have a chat with an obstetrician about a different tablet to try as the current one isn't working. Fingers crossed!

  • I would definitely keep a record of anything that's said or done. Unfortunately discrimination during pregnancy is still pretty common so I wouldn't be even a little bit surprised. Hope he's a bit nicer to you once the shock of it for him has sunk in...

Discrimination towards expectant mothers is unfortunately still bloody rife in some places

Oh and that's good news on your assessment audit, well done :D

Thank you! At the moment I'm just going to keep a note of anything which is said, but I'll definitely keep you in mind if anything is completely out of line - always good to know where you stand legally!

I seem to be flitting between being asleep for most of the day and night to being pretty much nocturnal....no prizes for guessing which one tonight is?! I didn't even nap today and did some housework so thought I'd be shattered but looks like OH is tired enough for both of us - went to sleep on the sofa at 8, woke up and went straight to bed at 10 and I can hearing him snoring from 2 floors down so he isn't having an insomnia issues :rotfl:

Doc has put me on some new tablets and I've only been sick 11 times today - result! Still feel rotten and the tablets make my head spin for an hour after taking them which isn't fun but at least the 30+ bouts of vomiting seem to be easing

It's my Goddaughters birthday today and her party tomorrow - I feel rotten and really don't feel up to going unless I feel massively better tomorrow AM. I'm sure it will go down like a lead balloon but I'm looking after myself and donut at the moment.

Had a bit of a meltdown yesterday when I found out someone at work has very loose lips and I got a congratulations message from someone I would NEVER have wanted to know at this early stage. Made a call to my boss who swears blind he hasn't mentioned it to anyone but I'm fuming. That's probably an understatement actually :o

I realise my diary is very little about debt busting at the moment, and I hope nobody minds. When I'm back at work properly and not trying to work out a way to cover unexpected sick leave and 3 months with no pay if I want the full 12 months off, I'll be straight back onto OHs CC and the mortgage OPs :)

  • Just found your diary...congratulations! Hope the sickness eases for you soon. I found spearmint polos really helpful for morning sickness. Had packets everywhere so that I always had some to hand. With my 4th, I craved (and ate punnets of ) tomatoes. She is now 13 and consumes huge amounts of tomatoes! Funny how foods in pregnancy can have lasting results!! I know it sounds crazy when you're feeling tired and sick, but enjoy each moment. Pregnancy speeds by so quickly as does time when baby arrives.

Hope you managed to get some sleep in the end Kirsty. Good news that the tablets are helping, although side effects don't sound fun.

You're right to prioritise yourself & baby right now and your Goddaughter's parents should be understanding of that. You never know, they might be. :)

Sorry to hear about work & loose lips - that is NOT on and no wonder you're raging, I would be too.

Your diary doesn't need to be all about debt - mine hardly ever is, I just ramble on & on - debt & debt-busting doesn't exist in a vacuum after all. :)
Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. Car loan 1 £11,174, Car loan 2 £5,532, CC 0% BT £780. Debt Free Diary to try & keep spending in check.

My mom had never ending pizza cravings when pregnant with me, and it's one of my favourite foods, and she craved chocolate with my sister, who we call chocolate face :rotfl: my sister once ate 8 mars bars in an hour

Back to feeling extremely sick today, OH decided I needed to get out the house for some fresh air so he took me for a drive which ended up in me being sick on Halfords car park :o

Have realised we also need a savings account for car related expenses after OH spent £34 on windscreen wipers :eek::eek: ended in an argument because I keep all expenditure on a spreadsheet and whilst windscreen wipers are a necessary expense at some point, they aren't 100% needed right now and we just don't have the money spare at the moment. It's the second time this week he has spent money that isn't in the budget and it leaves me trying to sort it and rob peter to pay paul or it comes out of my discretionary spending money (which already goes on mortgage OPs and CC OPs) while he spends whenever he feels like it with no thought to how it will affect the rest of the month! He always offers to put it back into the joint account but rarely follows through so it causes stress to me. I could just take it out of savings but we will end up with no savings if I let that happen everytime we overspend.

Sorry for that rant there :o obviously more bothered than I realised :o

Trying to resist buying the moses basket I've got my eye on because a friend of a friend is selling hers, only 4 weeks old but her little one hasn't taken to it so she wants half RRP....I can't resist a bargain but it's a bit early for me not to stress about jinxing it! Must Resist!
