Hudl 2?

Options
I see Tesco are selling the 8.3" Hudl 2, for £99.

Opinions anyone?

BTW. I notice it says it has "Fast, Dual Band WiFi".

Would that be compatible with my unlocked, Huawei E5331 MiFi modem?

I can't help with the technical stuff but I will let you know what it's like soon (I hope), I bought one this morning. My young autistic daughter has broken one too many iPad minis so have opted for something a little cheaper to see if she can get along with it.

At the moment, we are having a little trouble navigating it (although that may be because we are so used to the iPad). If anyone comes along to answer your question, maybe some of mine will be answered as well :-)

    Good luck.

Great Little Tab, apart from battery life which is poor. Even cheaper if you've got Tesco Rewards.
  • Tesco online have refurbs for £79 which is really good value

I think I'd be inclined to stump up the extra twenty quid, and get a new one.
  • My boys have a Hudl2 each. They're great little tablets. They both download heaps of apps and the machines cope fine... that said, we did have a random problem with one of them where it just stopped working, but it was repaired and returned by Tesco within a week. I'd buy one again.
Grateful to finally be debt free!

Yes. The Wi-Fi bit tells you it will work.
  • One more question, if I may.

Is it possible to connect an external pointing device, such as a mouse or trackball?

    Maybe via Bluetooth?

  • Cheers for that ballyblack. :T

I'll be getting the Keyboard-Case, so I won't need to carry a separate keyboard, but I'll definitely be getting a Bluetooth mouse.

I bought a refurbished Hudl 2 several months back, it's fantastic. It's fast, screen is brilliant and Android is better than on the Hudl 1. Also HDMI out is a boom.

But the controls are more fiddly and battery life is below average. As with all these micro USB charging sockets, handle with care!

    Overall I'm delighted with it.
