I had an update also and the keyboard is different. Mainly I think the letters are smaller and further apart. Also shows no's on the top line .
Do you know it there are changes generally? Dont know if I have missed anything? Thanks Sue0 -
I have a HUDL 1 and I think it is excellent especially as I got it for free with my Tesco clubcard.0

So it is actually Google Translate.
Possibly. When I open it, it's name is just Translate.
Either way, it's pretty cool, with typing, voice, and photo translation.0 -
Just to let you know, a Hudl 2 will happily accept a wireless mouse.
I just tried it.
It works great, and without the pausing which occurs, when simultaneously running a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard.
All you need is a USB to Micro USB-OTG adapter, with which to connect the wireless dongle, to the USB-OTG/charging socket on the Hudl 2.
I wish I'd thought to try this, before I bought the Bluetooth mouse.0 -
Something that might be interesting to some of you with/intending to buy, a Hudl 2.
Contrary to what it says on the box, it will take an SD bigger than 32GB.
I've just installed a 64GB micro SDXC Card, which, along with the inbuilt 16GB of storage, gives me close to ~ 76GB of storage.
I'm not quite sure why it doesn't give the whole 64GB  , but ~ 60GB isn't bad.
You won't immediately see it in File Explorer, but if you go into Setting>Storage, you will see it under "SD Card".
Touch "Mount SD Card", then "Erase SD card". This will cause it to be formatted for the Hudl.
Once it has been erased and formatted, it'll be visible in File Explorer, as "sdcard1".0 -
I can't vouch for 128GB, but 64GB definitely works.
It also seems more responsive, with the (type 10) SDXC card, rather than the (type 4) HC card.0 -
Posted this earlier on another thread. I hope that Tesco keeps on with updates, otherwise there are going to be a lot of angry people out there.Anne_Marie wrote: »Whatever you do, don't consider the Hudl, Tesco is withdrawing it, and it's not available online in the Tesco store.

Don't the updates come from Google (rather than Tesco), in the same way your PCs updates come from Microsoft, rather than Medion, Dell, HP, Asus, etc. ?0 -
According to Wikipedia:-Android is a mobile operating system (OS) currently developed by Google, based on the Linux kernel and designed primarily for touchscreen mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets
As for updates:-Google provides major incremental upgrades to Android every six to nine months, with confectionery-themed names, which most devices are capable of receiving over the air. The latest major release is Android 6.0 "Marshmallow"
And, of course, the apps update frequently.
Almost every time I turn on my Hudl, several apps update.0 -
Fair enough. I hope that I am so wrong.
Do you have Marshmallow on your Hudl?0
