I know but after your post, Maxmiler said that women can't complain about the seat being up, because they always leave the lid up. That's what I was replying to0 -
I don't have a partner to make romantic gestures to. But I do believe that people say I love you, but doing real things for each other. Things that take effort, like a investment of time or hard earned money.
Like cooking a meal for them after a long day at work, a massage if they are aching, saving to buy them something you know they'll love.
Things like post it notes in lunch boxes don't really take much effort. They are superficial.0 -
When I get home at the end of a 12-hour day OH opens the front door to me, greets me with a kiss, takes my bags, then high-tails it to the kitchen to make me a cuppa. True love!£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

It's in the eye of the beholder. This thread is called "Little ways to say I love you" not "Grand gestures that use up all my cash"£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

Sex. Daily. A minimum of once. Even if it's only a quickie. Nothing like a bit of slap and tickle to get the oxytocin levels up.0

Nothing makes me feel so 'desired' as to having sex. Nothing makes me feel more loved than being told 'I love you'.
For me personally, they should go hand in hand. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

Absolutely. I agree 100%. Those three little words should be said often.
But that warm, fuzzy, post-sex, love-you-so-much-it-hurts, can't-live-without-you afterglow is worth a million post-it notes in lunchboxes. To me, anyway.
Everything else is a bonus.0 -
He makes things for me. Needles, cloak pins, odd things.
Me, I sort his mobile out for him. Keep schtum when the current project is making a beastly mess - we both know he'll tidy up & wash down when he's done even if that is next week!0 -

Last week I organized the clothes in his part of the wardrobe and put a red rose on top of one of the shelves before he came home.. A token well appreciated0
