I was today watching a caravan I would dearly of wanted - I waited to the last minute to bid as nobody else had.

A few moments later I looked and someone had bid at the very last minute and got it.

I went to see the caravan and heard nobody else had.

Are there some people who can just sit on their computer all the time or are they not doing anything because they are on benefits and have no other life?

As others have said, tough luck. You should have bid higher if you really wanted it. I normally bid in the last seconds as you can often get an item far cheaper than if you get into a bidding war with someone. I do not use sniper software but know how late to bid and it still go through.

You are coming over very badly as a bad loser with your whine about people on benefits being the only one that can bid at the last second. I hate to break this to you but even people at work can bid on Ebay nowadays through these magical devices call smart phones. Next time bid the highest price you are willing to pay. If you are the highest bidder then you will win no matter how late someone bids.

Sounds like the OP has no idea how eBay works, although reading from some of his other posts I'm not sure OP knows how life works!

    What a surreal thread.

Assuming I have understood the OP then all I can add is that like a real bricks and mortar auction the highest bid wins. If you didn't bid enough then it doesn't matter one bit when the other person bid, or whether they used a sniper, it just means you didn't bid enough. The caravan went over what you wished to pay, end of story.
