I'm getting quite into things again today - long may it continue :)

Since emerging from my slumber when the small people awoke, I have cleaned the shower room, utility room, dining room and study floors - hovering and mopping as required. Still got upstairs main bathroom to do yet (in it's entirety).
Descaled showerhead, bleached grout and scrubbed tiles and shower tray. Washed the horrid shower curtain (had glass screens at the old house). I had to Google how best do that, so I now know to wash with towels to avoid crinkling. While it was down I cleaned curtain rail and all the hooks. Hung up wet curtain to drip dry. Room smells lovely now!
    Toilet and sink? Check.
Cleared, cleaned, dusted and sorted desk in study and deleted a few emails (didn't actually have that many to do), wiped all sockets, mouse etc.
Bathroom mats in the wash with dirty laundry, all bins emptied and huge amount of recycling sorted.
Gotta feed kids their lunch and mutts too, then might have a blitz attack on the ironing. Might not, as I found an Easter egg in the study, so may just sit and scoff that instead...yay! I mean, oh dear :rotfl:

It was going to be puppy pads but someone in Morrisons told me that they were carpe so had to go to to Pets@home to get special dog pads for elderly incontinent dogs.

Fingers crossed that this will work for Bear..it's only little dribbles when he's asleep or lying down .... If he doesn't then I'm lost to what to do.

Sorry if this sounds patronising Natty, but have you spoken to the vet? It could be a urine infection or there may be a drug to help support the sphincter muscle for males - there is for females which was an absolute Godsend with Pumpkin. Either way, you know his problem is obviously not behavioural because it's happening when he's relaxed and/or asleep.

Thank you everyone for your kind wishes regarding the boob squashing. Much appreciated.

CY I hope you're only feeling tired now, and that the nausea has passed. Anti-tired vibes heading your way.

Lynnejk: Evil chemicals are the only answer if the problem is the bottom of the oven and the gunk has been there a long time. Bicarb only works when it's relatively fresh. I speak from bitter experience. I use one from k133n3z33 but other chemicals are available.

Very belated Happy Birthday and Happy Anniverary for you, Mrs MP. I'm so sorry I missed it.

Healing vibes for your PND, LadyLuck.

Good to see you posting again, Charlies Yates.

Ionafan, thank you for wave! Sorry I couldn't help on the mobile front. Mine is a very, very old Nokia, very unsmart that is now regarded with the kind of awe people show when seeing genuine vintage clothes and cars! A couple of weeks ago it started not sending texts and telling me to refer to Operator Services. When I researched on line it seemed to be indicative of a pretty complete meltdown so I thought I'd upgrade and use one of OH's old ones - he's been through three since I got this one - each one more stupidly full of gadgets and gizmos he doesn't know how to use! Fortunately mine's stopped being silly and so the evil day has been postponed again. Luddite, moi?

Busy morning sucking the carpets, boiling tea towels, filing and doing washing. I am dreading 3.00 pm when rehearsals for MTV Crashes start; I won't be able to hear myself think.
    Better is good enough.

Ooh thank you jttou. I will zip on and see what sets I cN order for the kids Xmas. Love the b p!

Ladyluck pnd is so horrid. Take each day as it comes and try to look forward rather than dwelling on stuff.

Just in from work at library. Was pretty quiet as lots of schools not broken up yet here.

Sent the dds in with teacher pressies today. Last day is always too manic!

Think will take the girls on a wee walk later. There is a new geocache in the wood near us so a little half hour stroll would be nice.

Have ordered new wool online so hopefully will arrive tomorrow.

Right, I've got half n hour now so will see what I can get done in the bathrooms.

    Xx

Bathroom is taking me ages! It s disgusting- I really don't know how people can let it get that bad! It's the dried on shampoo (I presume!) that is prooving particularly difficult! two thirds done. Just stopping for a cold drink and then I will crack on! Shower and toilet left to do!

HB I'm with you re mobile phones; I only have one at all because Mr LW insists upon it for safety reasons, and it's only ever used for calls and texts. My old N0kia 6300 packed up finally, so I dug in the box of old phones, and am now using an even older N0kia one, which is so far reasonably ok, but if I let it get too low on charge, it goes peculiar.
I looked on the website of the provider I'm with (I have a SIM-only contract at present) and they offer a new phone with contract for only 20p a month more than I currently pay, but all the phones on offer are smartphones, and I really don't want one of those. For a start, I loathe and detest touch-screens! I think there are another two even older dumbphones in our box, so I'm off the hook for now, but I dare say I'll have to bite the bullet eventually.

I gave the Princesses a good brush last night, and found an entire head of wood avens seeds lodged in the fur on Patsy's foot. It was so well buried that at first I thought she'd got a growth on her foot! She's a Lhasa Apso, so very long fur. Anyways, 15 minutes later, she was seed-free, and I didn't have to resort to snipping any fur.:T

BM- hope your daughter is okay today.

    Feeling a bit brighter today.

Having to keep all my energy in reserve - have to go to the hospital for a blood test tomorrow and then back again on Thursday for another blast of chemo.
    :jFlylady and proud of it:j
