Morning all,
Must have been tired this morning, got up to let dog out for a tinkle at 7:00am and just got back in bed for a minute. Next news it was 8:30, poor doggy sat quietly in garden!
So a bit of a late start, and I'm looking after DD1s friend again for most of the day. Also children have swimming lessons later, and we are going away for the weekend so need to get packed for that, as I won't have time tomorrow as I am back at work, and also staying at mums as she is looking after children.
That makes not much sense!
Here is my to do list
Daily stuff
Fling open windows to let air in especially as it's been hot and the room will be stuffy.
Clean Cobwebs
Polish furniture
Clean glass and mirrors - make them twinkle
Clear a hotspot ~ or spend 15 minutes clearing one.
HHI
Wash car ready for weekend
Hoover and clean inside of car
Start packing for weekend, print directions etc.
Off I go!0 -
Morning All
Not sure that I'm going to do my bedding today as it's been raining and is still looking fairly black outside so I'd rather wait for a dry day than use the TD. Yesterday morning I went to pick up an alternator for my car so I went to Makro at the same time to pick up cans for the carnival on Sunday so that's saved me a job for later in the week although it meant I was out all yesterday morning.
Not really in the mood for doing anything really but I need to sort out the LR so I may do that today. SW tonight but I don't think I'll have lost anything but that's about all that's planned for today.
CY - thinking of you.
Have a good day all
Hugs

Sorry Iona haven't got either of those. I've added another 21 DVDs to the dupes pile in the hall! And am only halfwAy through the hidden crate I unearthed. The speed Dh manages to bring them in the house I think we could watch a film everyday and still not run out.
Hugs to all that need them. Especially the poorlies or those worrying about loved ones.
Pigpen hope you and yours are all ok if you still read the thread.

dizzy I might have missed, who's XW? Sometimes it helps to get these things off our chests x
My DH's first wife. I have tried for so long to smooth things and make sure the stepkids are happy, but she is a complete *****
Been taking my temper out on the bedroom. Cleared two chests of drawers, thrown away 18 (!) pairs of uncomfortable knickers. My bottom is built for comfort now :rotfl: Reorganised everything and hung DH's suits up in protective covers, purchased on Monday.
Tesco delivery just arrived, so will have a cuppa while I put it all away.0 -
Strengthening vibes for you CY.
May the power of peaceful speech return to Kazwookie's OH.
Lamewolf, you are a Phoning Flylady after my own heart! The batteries are the problem - the replacement ones are cheap and don't hold a full charge well, but as I only send the occasional text or make very occasional phone calls it's not the end of the world for me. Mine is a Nokia 3310 and when it conks out the good news is - I have another one! And I didn't actually buy either of them, they were both passed on to me by people who upgraded.
Thanks for the information about the belly band, Natty. I'd wondered if they were any use so I'll bear that in mind when Kelpie gets older just in case he needs one. Has anyone ever used a Thundershirt? We've got the National Firework Championships coming up, which means 3 x 20 minute huge displays on two consecutive nights and although Kelpie's fine in thunder I won't know until the beginning of the first display if he's going to be petrified or not. All my previous ones were deaf, so it wasn't a problem but his hearing is pretty perfect.
Missing Piggers and hoping all is calm in the Pen household.
The rain that was due between 6.00 and 7.00 am has just arrived. Mad dash to get the washing in, Kelpie's going crazy.Biscuit_monster wrote: »Mrs MP we had so many CDs and DVDs cluttering up the shelves in our living room that I got fed up one day and put them in plastic storage boxes under our bed. We have not touched them for about a year. If I were to send them to CS though, OH would go bonkers.
Not just for CDs, but I wait until OH goes off on an awayday/away week jaunt and smuggle stuff out to the CS. It's so much easier than explaining why we don't need those eight blankets, those extra four serving bowls, that nicnac etc etc etc.Dustykitten wrote: »... and threw balls in the garden for DS for an hour.
Was it just me that thought Dusty had acquired a dog for a moemnt there? Then that just seemed too unlikely.
I'm defrosting the fridge, the shower has been scrubbed from top to bottom (a job I loathe) and the shower room s/and/s'd, a batch of hobnobs and a batch of Robert's nectarines have been baked, and I'm off to have a bath before cracking on with a list that I can't possibly get through today but I'm going to have a go at it.Better is good enough.0 -
Hi all x
CY rest up pal x I will be thinking of you tomorrow xxx
I've been to the hospital with OH this morning to have his blood pressure monitor fitted. So far so good. Went to the post office, bank and did some shopping on the way back then decluttered OH to his work.
I've just tried to book for DD to go to a book signing with some you tube blogger and its sold out, she's so disappointed I feel terrible.
Off to stick the WM on and make a start on my huge list.I'm not a muggle...I'm just magically challenged0 -
Not too wild here, although it's raining so we might risk a playgym this afternoon. Just dished up sausages in hotdog buns for the kids plus a selection of picky bits. I'm having leftovers.
DS friend is being a little wilful although I suspect I'm not getting the full force of ithe will have to take turns and not expect his own way all the time in my house!
I won't even pretend to be tidy here - the LR Floor is covered in big sheets of paper with train tracks drawn on
But the kitchen is under control, and we decluttered an appointment with the SEED man - DD has been part of an early years study following her development since she was 2 - they visit each year and test her with little games - I think she wowed him, smart little cookie was doing sections aimed at much older children. She did some of the exercises quicker than me!!! :eek:Bossymoo
