Mrs MP have you tried selling your excess CDs on Mus1c Magp1e? It takes a while to list them, but they come and collect and pay a bit for each one.

Well there will be no flinging open of windows here; they started harvesting the field at the end of our garden yesterday and the whole house has a layer of dust. So it was hay fever tablet for breakfast and minimal flying until the combine harvester has finished flinging stuff in my direction.

Knee deep in work though - remind me again why I'm freelance? This morning's plan was to finish one report; so far I have contacted a potential client who left a phone message for me yesterday (that has so far involved 1 phone call, 4 emails to her and her tutor, 1 checking train times as she doesn't drive and I'll have to collect her from the station which is 15 mins drive away); I've replied to another potential (already involved 6 emails, copious reading of her previous reports, 1 phone call, check a web site about a course she is planning). Pinging up at intervals is a reminder for a professional subs renewal which I need to organise, with supporting paperwork (no doubt buried in the room of doom). As I'm writing this, 3 more emails from 1st client's tutor have pinged up. Oh I'm not listing all this; you don't want to read it and I just need to get on with it......................did have a break just now to walk up and post a letter, and was met with hassle regarding church flowers.........

CY hope you are feeling a bit better.
Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.

Thank you narco, I might think about that, I just got an email from ziffit to say they are sending me a cheque for the 5 books I sent off to them last week. I'm normally too lazy and just take it all to the CS.

Ive spent 1 and a half hours running round. Just going to update list while I have a coffee then jump in shower ready for work...
    So I have done....
4 loads on washing line, 2 to go on
emptied dishwasher ready for reloading tonight
hovered hall Clear and wipe kitchen surfaces
Check the smoke alarm - when was the last time you replaced the battery?
    Sweep and hovered kitchen
Wipe and replace all those small appliances.. kettle, toaster etc
Clean cupboard door fronts and fronts of appliances

Fling open windows to let air in especially as it's been hot and the room will be stuffy.

Caught Little Mix's sound check while I was dog-walking, so I won't need to go up later. Some very, very excited youngish teenagers are around! *squeal* *squeak* *high-frequency*

Fridge is coming on, tidying, tidying, tidying. Still haven't made it into the bath yet.
    Better is good enough.

My DH's first wife. I have tried for so long to smooth things and make sure the stepkids are happy, but she is a complete *****
(((HUGS))) and more (((HUGS))). When I first got together with Mr LW, his XW (aka QBOTU) threw a complete, total and utter mega-tantrum; it transpired that even though he'd divorced her 12 years previously, she was still overspending, and then expecting him to dip into his wallet to get her out of debt. And he was far too nice (and, he later admitted, actually scared of her) to tell her to get a grip and stop buying clothes she couldn't afford. I soon put a stop to that, I can tell you! We ended up changing both the landline and his mobile numbers, and his email address to stem the tide of abusive calls and mails. I also assured him if she ever, but ever tried turning up on the doorstep, she'd have me to deal with.

Thanks for the information about the belly band, Natty. I'd wondered if they were any use so I'll bear that in mind when Kelpie gets older just in case he needs one. Has anyone ever used a Thundershirt? We've got the National Firework Championships coming up, which means 3 x 20 minute huge displays on two consecutive nights and although Kelpie's fine in thunder I won't know until the beginning of the first display if he's going to be petrified or not. All my previous ones were deaf, so it wasn't a problem but his hearing is pretty perfect.
Probably not a lot of help to you, but if we think there's a possibility of fireworks, we get going with a noisy pc game - Skyrim, or Dragon Age, something like that; all our guests quickly get to see the games as "normal" and they help drown out the "abnormal" stuff going on outside.:o

The Princesses will be leaving shortly; I have an evening off, (so popping to J0hn L3wis for bulbs for the bedside lamps when Mr LW gets home), then I have two Westies coming Saturday. That'll be 50 different dogs through my front door!:)

I'll be on my own most of tomorrow, so I'll give the place a general once-over - NOTE TO SELF: remove nose-art from lounge windows and back door.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Phew, just us again.
Whispers - glad they are gone and I'm not looking after them too often ;) actually, the daughter is lovely. The boy needs some boundaries...

Just making a brunch type tea here, and a relaxing evening is in order. DW is on, and laundry isn't too mountainous:rotfl:

Done quite a lot of jobs this afternoon, although not a lot to cross off lists!

Just spent the last hour doing activity books and colouring with ds1- very theraputic! Ds2 wanted to watch TV instead but he kept popping In and doing a little bit. He hasn't got the concentration to stay with it! T has rained on and off- in the end I left the washing out as it was already soaking wet!

    Rest of list...

Hmm. Ok, not going to get much else done. Might do the ironing tonight but might also be needed to put the unit back together! So we will see. Going to polish some glass Now!

HB you know me too well, there will be no woof aquiring here!

Been at cricket all day, gave there clubhouse kitchen quite a clean, they must think I'm mad.

Hoovered kitchen and changed mog beds before I went. I need to tidy up my own kitchen next and water the front garden.
