That's an old sign before tickets were required. Note the date of the article, 24 Sept 2014.
Tickets have only been required as from June this year as per the top of the sign shown in post #8.
There is a complete new sign on the site I link to in my post at #140 -
I know what you mean, I knew about the changes before I last went there, for some reason I didn't expect to have to go and get a ticket I assumed that was just for people that stay over 2 hours, luckily I was with someone else so did get one.0

You're absolutely right, so I've deleted it. Fingers working faster than brain!! :rotfl:
The signage is clear enough though in this case and there's plenty of it. I was nearly caught out here though because of the necessity to put a ticket on in a "free" car park.
At nearby East Dereham you used to have to put a ticket on for up to 3 hrs. But then they scrapped that and they use eye in the sky.0 -
This is a shameful abuse of this site , the parking is free for the first 2 hours but it does clearly show that you need to have a ticket displayed. The person who states that the restrictions are new is not telling the whole truth , putting a ticcket on your vehicle is new but getting a parking ticket for overstaying has been in force since 2014 , also there was a limit to parking prior to this but was ignored by everyone as no one was enforcing it (due to the company being bankrupt or so i believe)when the site was sold enforcements were again in place. What also is ignored is that these are and were needed because until the enforcements were re-introduced you could never find a space due to workers parking all day in a shoppers carpark. It would maybe just a case of someone ignoring the very clear signage.0

Did you really need to bother registering to comment on an ancient thread that has had no previous activity since July last year?0 -
funny because you did--the reason i replied is twofold--there was an item on the news about parking charges so i googled parking in fakenham and saw this thread---finding that it is not exactly correctl decided to comment.
you try to make out somthng about my commenting yet you have added a comment too!0 -

Your post reads just like a rant by those numbskulls at NPE who couldn't win POPLA appeals against people with a brain cell, so NPE changed their name and jumped ship to the kangaroo court at the IPC. Funny, that! :rotfl:PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

and i had been told that this site was useful--it seem that its populated by people who obviously like their own posts and have no interest in other peoples.
im so glad that a person as skilked in (whatever you think your skilled in ) shuold insult me.
im so glad that it shows that not only are you a very rude person that also you annot read , maybe this is the problem of the education system or just that some people are arrogant ignorant morons , i ll leave that to you as your ever so much more clever than me- but tell me in my world the sky is blue--whats the colour of the sky in yours because you obviosuly dont live on planet earth !"0 -
When you Google stuff, if you find forum postings, always look at the DATE first. NEVER BOTHER to reply on old threads on a forum, it makes you look stupid. This was pointless, an ancient thread, a waste of everyone's time and what you posted has made no sense nor helped anyone.

PCN in a private car park in England/Wales? DON'T PAY IT BUT DO NOT IGNORE IT
millers walk in fakenham is not a free carpark --your post sounds like a rant from a very very simple minded person--English education obviously not as good as it once was or maybe you left school at 16
i felt that because someone had made a totally irrelvant rant about getting a paking ticket that it should be made clear that it was their own fault --there are numerous signage advising that it is a pay and display carpark --they give 2 hours for free.
quite a lot of the time when someone gets a parking ticket it is for a valid reason--not anb excuse to complain that they have been hard done by.0
