I'm really scared about my son

Thanks for all the kind messages I've received today.

I have spent the day with him. I felt much better once I got to the hospital and was able to see him.

The doctors want to bring him out of his coma tomorrow morning and I will be there with him along with my daughter in law.

I know you said that they have issues, but you post as if you like your DIL I hope you are both OK. I hope all goes well tomorrow,

Yes, I do like my DIL. She's just texted me goodnight and hopes that I manage to sleep. It will be a long day tomorrow for us.

So sorry to hear this, you must be distraught. I really hope tomorrow brings some positivity and hope for you all. I also hope your son gets some specific help to ensure he doesn't feel like this is his only option ever again.

Hmm, problems in the marriage so bad that he would do this? I would offer to have him at your house, find out exactly what is going on, don't let him go back there.

It could be many things - having an illness such as depression, which can come from anywhere, well, that can put a strain on a relationship that is actually very healthy and supportive, for example. I would be reluctant to assume there is a particular cause before there's been a chance to physically recover and talk.

I hope everybody involved is given the support they need at such a difficult time, which includes Frogletina and her DIL as well.

I am not assuming anything I am being cautious, still think Mum should have a good long chat before he goes 'home'.

My son is back on sedation tonight. He was taken off it today but not responsive enough to be permanently remain off it.

However, by this afternoon he was breathing by himself.
