Just a quick reply put me down again for £250.00 I know I am going to go over in July but not by much I can see where I have gone wrong so will tighten the belt a bit more in August & then in September I may cut it a little bit more so my August runs from the 1st-31st

I've done really well in July ( my month finishes on the 21st) and I think after a mini top up shop tomorrow I'll be a few pounds under my budget of £70 for the last 3 weeks.

The next month will be 5 weeks for me (starting this coming Tuesday) and I'll budget £150 for 5 weeks at £30 a week. This is for all my food, dog food, toiletries and cleaning and household items.
    Fingers crossed!

  • I'd like to join in please. I've tried to sort a budget out as I've been overspending. I'd like to spend £60 or under each week on groceries for me and my 2 children plus 3 cats

  • Hi I'd like to join if that's ok? I lost my job last month so really need to watch the pennies this month (starting 23rd). Checking through receipts for this last month I spent more than we can afford so need to balance it out.

goal of reducing to £200 (from £270 ish this month) for myself, oh & lo. Have lots of things in the freezer/cupboards so I think with careful planning of meals easily doable for us.

Biggest change is recording all the spends! Always start off well at the beginning of the month and somewhere along the month lose count!

I'm not sure whether to increase or decrease as though I'm away for the last week in August, little one is also home so for a change I'll have to pack lunches for summer camp (she gets hot lunches at school).

I think I'll go for a monthly target of £160
