My Journey To My Pot Of Gold

Hello doingitanyway, please definitely feel free to post any time. It's always lovely to hear what people are up to, and it's such a warm environment here. I genuinely don't know what I'd do without lovely people posting.
We do have a lot in common. How lovely to be almost mortgage free. Debt free will happen in time too and you definitely sound focussed in your diary.
I do like being single, although since Mr 3TL I'm struggling to get back into loving it again like I did. Hmmm! It'll happen though, once this cold weather and my surplus weight disappear! Now where are those 2 lunch cookies???

Does anyone else find Swagbucks TV quite painful? They asked me to review the app, and when I looked at other reviews there seems to be no one happy with it! I have received my 10 SB's today, but I have to come out of the app and clear the cache after every single video! It takes ages to get through them, and just for 10 SB's! But it'll be worth it when I don't have to spend any cold cash on Christmas presents.
I've just checked my Shop & Scan points and I have over £100 worth sitting there. Bearing in mind I do the main shop and scan, then I have an app for my snack purchases, plus they've set up a logger on my TV. Then I had the double points for 3 weeks in December. So lots of ways to stack them up. But I think I'll keep those where they are and use them next Black Friday! Sorry, I meant Christmas 2016!!!
OnePoll has 1 questionnaire, but when I said I'm single it booted me out!!! Thanks a lot!!!
I spent the £25 amazon voucher yesterday that I received through Swagbucks at the end of last year. I bought some more oven cleaner and home cleaning products to help with my house clean blitz! Again, I'll keep trying to increase my SB's and use them for birthday gifts. I currently put aside £50 a month to budget for gifts, so it would be lovely if I got to the end of the year and had a cash bonus as I spent vouchers instead.
My washing machine is still a work in progress as I've not had time to do much, so I'm just soaking kitchen towel in mold remover and pushing it into the door seal! On Friday morning I'm planning to give it the scrubbing of it's life!
I don't think I have council tax to pay in February or March, so I'll allocate that amount to the credit card.
My signature needs updating too! I'll do that once I get paid in January. The overall total hasn't changed much, although savings and debt have risen a bit!!!! (need a tutting emoticon here!!!)
If I have the energy then I think I'll sync my journal with my earlier postings and tie those together for some results.

Hello MT,
Thanks for the lovely welcome and for visiting me on my thread too. I really appreciate it. Re the washing machine, for future, you can run a cycle on rinse and add 1/2 a bottle of cheap vinegar. I do that once a month to keep it mould free and it stops the insides from furring up too. When it's cold like this I want to curl up and drink cups of tea and eat biscuits...Enjoy! xIf you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Hi MT
Hmm, well I'm sorry to hear you've still got a little heartache over Mr 3TL. Is it possible he's contacting you because he's having second thoughts and doesn't know how you might take that, or is it more likely he's trying to stay friends? Either way he missed out on Jackpot Lady. Hugs and pralines.
Yay to new job and training though - that's fab news, if it brings you closer to your own business and gives you time to build up plans that's brilliant.
I've never really used either SB or the other poll sites etc - I am so pushed for time that I resented even the little they take up and I seemed to get screened out of most polls anyway. So for me it wasn't worth it.
Might a free Danielle LaPorte FireStarter audio course help? It starts in Feb - I've signed up and am really looking forward to it. http://www.daniellelaporte.com/firestarter/?_bta_tid=3.AIlW.Cun3Yg.E2ck.Aos5Wg..A1keuA.b..l.CUGD.n...Mnw9Cw

It's difficult to tell why he's contacting me Rosa. Half of me feels he wants another chance and the other half feels he'd make more effort if he did. He mentioned to me that he feels really mixed up, but when I asked him about that he didn't answer! Ho hum! Basically, he's obviously on my mind but he's not a priority.
Thanks to your recent post on your diary I've managed to tweak my YNAB to make more sense. It's funny because what you wrote was exactly what I'd been thinking about! Thank you.0 -
So, as mentioned I've been tweaking the online version of YNAB. I had all of this money that stated it was for budgetting, but it's not and it was irritating me a little. I had decided to allocate the money from "to budget" to my Pot of Gold category, but that didn't feel right.
So now I've created "out of budget" investment accounts to keep track, and I've closed the main accounts I had in my "to use as budget" section. I'm much happier with that.
SB TV is playing quietly by the side of me, and seems to be playing the trailers now. Oops, spoke too soon! One Poll has been completed. I had 2 and didn't get screened out.
Right, on with the day! Have a great day everyone!

Well what is the saying - 'never treat anyone who sees you as an option, as a priority'... sounds like you have your head right there MT, even if it isn't quite what you would like. Hopefully Mr Jackpot is just around the corner and waiting!
