Well done Roland, an amazing weight loss :T:T:T

Very pleased with myself as I managed to swim 50 lengths this morning. Have never managed this before,so a real achievement for me. Only trouble is, now I feel like I need a little snooze!! Need to keep myself moving as if I sit down I will nod off.

1 hr 30 min ballroom dancing this afternoon.

I am thinking that if I am going to keep up the swimming I really need something to track how many lengths I have swam. I have had a look on Amazon and the choice seems to be a manual 'clicker' that fits on your finger (for about 8 pound) or a watch that does it automatically (for about £58:eek:)
Has anyone tried either of these?? I am thinking of the cheaper option, but the reviews are very mixed.

Thanks as ever, Fredsnail. My loss was 0.8 though, not 0.1 :D Total is now 54.2 lost. Can I sign up for the 5lb challenge too, please? Don't suppose there's any chance of achieving it, but it's something to aim for.

Well done on SOTW Roland! :T

Bit disappointed at a +1 Gain

    not sure how that happened.

Exercise wise. Walked 22 miles during the week at work.

On hols next week, so another gain on the cards, then back to it on my return.

    Hi all,

I'm hoping you can help and I'm allowed to post here.
I really want to lose weight, but I'm a fussy eater. I've today tried a Slim Fast shake for my lunch, but now feel sick from the taste of it!
But I'm sure that's not the way it's meant to assist in losing weight!

So I'm hoping you lovely lot can help.
When I say I'm fussy, I don't eat anything a dieting person would usually eat. Like, salad, fruit or pasta.
I'm trying to find something to have at lunchtimes, whilst at work. I used to have a cheese sandwich, but was made to eat one before going to A&E last year following an accident, and cannot bare the thought of one now!

Hi and welcome to the thread.

Do you like vegetables? If so you could make some home made soup in a flask for work (some soups can be served cold if it's too hot for a hot lunch).

A wrap or flat bread can be an alternative to sandwiches?

Maybe a small home made pizza?

Do you like rice or couscous? You could use that instead of pasta?

    Home made savoury muffins?

Sometimes I take in a smaller version of a meal I could have for my main meal.

Do you have a microwave at work? You could do a jacket potato with a filling?

Try not to think of diet food - try to think of eating healthy generally, chose healthier options - sometimes if you eliminate a food you crave it more so little and often but also build in treats to your daily allowance.

    Good luck :T:j
