Indian summer this week.... I hope so! Anyway need to get more Amazon vouchers for mountain dew as that has all dried up. OH found the stash. I found a new hiding place for snacks so he doesn't eat them all but forgot where I hid them! My memory did allow me to remember though which is fortunate.

Towards the cause, free packet of biscuits from work, at least I wont have to buy that packet from the shop.

Brought about 5 things in Sainsbury's clothes sale all half price and had a £5 off voucher as they were delayed with the first order. Still feel bad though as I'm trying to find the money as I've already spend my pending money for the next couple of weeks.

Not much to report, I found a couple of errors on receipts but don't always go to the same shops so a pound or two doesn't seem worth the petrol so have left that too late to complain about. Although I have used a couple of Ristorante pizza vouchers has anyone else seen the offer? 2.50 a pop. Been going over my food budget though so hope I earn enough on food cash back apps in the next couple of weeks to help with next food budget as I have dipped into the account. A worker in Asda had the cheek to say I was scraping the barrel when putting my coppers in the machine :( I did think of a response when I was driving away and thought she might not have had the LBM its all to save pennies for the bigger picture hey!?

Had to stay on almost an hour at work on the bank holiday but it was double time and had to do 2 ad a half extra hours the day after so that will help for the overspend on clothes.

Been wasting more food which I am very upset about need to date them when I take them out of freezer. Trying to make myself feel better by reminding myself I use coupons and trying to grow little bits in garden, don't want to go crazy as will have to move everything when we move house and the time of year I'm a bit too late to plant other things.

OH got paid we exchanged contracts!. So 500 to fees and 5 from Halifax reward so 164.36 left till we can focus on the other pots. From his pay some is going to a dog fund and towards a course so he can get a trade behind him, mid term plan. So nothing to actually add to OP at the mo as redirecting the little finds towards paying my other account back that I borrowed from but that is part of the safe net.

Wonder when my diary will get to two pages :)

Oh that post did it 2nd page wohoo. The last post was a few days delayed. I woke up to a nice email from Sainsburys saying here have £20 voucher for a delayed delivery, not bad considering they already gave me £5 for the previous order which was half price as it was and now another £20 so about £60 worth of clothes down to half price and then £25 worth of vouchers not bad! So will use £10 to extra towards next months food and £10 to OP so will change signature.

So OH works at a food wholesalers and sometimes we get big bags of food from there, he told me that he can get it more cheaply if the packaging is damaged but the day staff normally snap this up which is a little unfair but I asked him to try so that will be a bonus! Just placed an order online for £land they have the water my OH likes at 50p per bottle (should be Mountain dew! not water) so got him those to bulk buy and some other bits, had to spend £50 on loads of food and nuts and tinned stuff to get free delivery.

Nothing to add to OP but as it was my pay day a couple of days ago we have now all the money for fees as well. So an update to finances after paying the last little bit towards fees current safe net 3654.06/6000.00 (previously been building before house purchase was option consists of car fund that probably won’t be used as I brought the last one and keep hinting to OH he will be buying next, is that cheeky? and rainy day money and 295.19/2000 for house extras like tiles to be done before we move in. Furniture fund stands at 0/2000.00

This was meant to be posted a few days ago so have now chosen tiles, carpet and kitchen along with other things. I keep getting down about having the new house and it being pretty bare so may not focus loads on OPing as whats the point in paying the mortgage off and not making it a home to begin with, i know materialistic things wont make it a home but I have a vision in my head. We shall see how it goes! Not much else to report on the OPing side but got some spring onions and celery growing in some jars, hope to make a nice veg patch when we move. Used up some bits in the fridge today so will keep at it and try and find more money saving ideas, Brought another new item of clothing today, a dress in the sale, I don't often buy myself things and this came out of my spends I allocate myself. Back to reading diaries for more ideas

OH got paid 2 days ago and didn't even realise, normally I pounce on this sort of thing so 500 to house extras and he's paying me back 100 I let him borrow ages ago so that will go towards safe net. I say he pays me back, I pay myself back from his money! lol. Signature update to follow. No other news! :(

OK so a bit of moving money around. Neighbour moving out so is leaving behind his lawnmower that we can have its v old but does the job so 6.73 from that fund to OP. The rest will go towards a big casserole dish that will hopefully last forever so I can batch cook without making such a mess!

Checked the state of safe net and it is officially 2740.30 after the confusion.

5 my sole HF reward pay back my safe net account that I dipped into for my course just 187.68 left to pay back in there now and 5 joint HF reward to safe net.

1.07 voucher with my receipt in Tesco as the price was cheaper elsewhere just going to more food.

Add the HF reward money safe net is 2750.30

    OP fund is 102.37

Not much to report found another asda price guarantee reciept only a couple of pennies for food fund. Going to pop into farm foods again not been there in ages.

Oh tried to order a phone twice using cashvack websites but got declined something about crime in our area, strange for a little village. Cash back is tracked though. Would be nice if that goes through . Free 100 or so pounds. Will find out in about a month.

Thank you Luckyinlife, nice to have you popping in. Due to OP in Feb or March as that is when we move in. Trying to get an update on progress from builders but hard to say till we are watertight which should be v soon!

Ok so I have been meaning to update for a while but other things get in the way. House extras fund only needs to be 1803 as we didnt go too crazy, it did go up as after a few weeks I changed my mind on a few things. So that can reduce by a couple of hundred but I have put the furnature fund up by about 400 as the TV couldnt last much longer so brought a new one. Couldnt get any cashback on the site we were buying from which was sad but it worked out the right deal for us anyway.

So the phone saga continues, we were told it was due to crime in our area that the order couldnt be processed but I just have a feeling its because our mortgage application is still quite recent. Checked OH's credit rating and it is still good so i dont understand. He doesnt want a pay as you go which I cant understand why if only a temp measure so i guess we will be saving a little extra per month due to that! Every cloud and all that! One of the track cash backs was declined though thought we were going to get some free money from these applications....I guess not, heres hope for the other one.

Tried to use a Sainsburys voucher for food shopping but apparently its only to be used for clothes, not sure if i should find some bits i like or use it for Xmas/Bdays. We shall see. Talking about shopping i went a little overboard in the city the other day with my parents so am saving £50 less this month, could be worse!

So break down, 20.85 from check out smart should be in account but thats already earmarked for the food budget this month. They keep putting through the prices wrong so i have to chase them, we have one in my name and one in my OH's so coke BOGOF and one is free on this app so thank you 4 free bottles of coke! Only been getting a could of pennies on the Asda price guarentee recently but it all helps.

So I got paid. 50 to house extras, 400 towards furnature for the TV, 50 from OH account to TV.
