I don't know how you havent heard about this before, the press in the UK and many other countries picked this up in 2013 and it has been a common topic on forums since, but the changes for EU citizens started in 2010 when self sufficients and their dependants and students then needed a CSI to be a qualified person in the UK.

Some accept it as having had a good run and they can see why the UK has started checking for the abusers and why they are also stopping from being so generous with their NHS, while others seem to go through the Kubler-Ross model of loss, known by the acromym DABDA which is quite normal behaviour.

If the hopspital want to give free NHS and use their own budget when they should bill the person or their own country vis their EHIC, then that is their choice but they will be fined for doing that. Whereas those that bill, don't lose that money from their NHS budget and can often get more money if they can add 25% or 50% to their NHS bill as allowed from 6 April 2015 under the Immigration Act 2014.

I feel you have gone completely over the top by using these sub titles and the link explaining these. A total misuse of the meaning behind the 'model'. Far off the mark - totally inappropriate as the poster was merely stating that the tone/wording of you post answering her post was unpleasant.

Writing on a forum gives no indication of the tone of the words and perhaps next time you should consider 'I am sorry if my post seemed............' instead of another inflammatory reply. Bad form.

Read again. FBaby didn't like what she heard about the NHS changes for EU citizens and responded with "You really are not very pleasant are you!" Nothing about my "the tone/wording " of my post as you have claimed. Her response was a classic case of shooting the messenger as she seems to have missed all this in the papers over the years and, like it or not, she did react in a classic Kubler-Ross DADBA model.

I reported the facts and gave links from the UK government for EU citizens and the CSIs they need and it was FBaby who lost her temper. I didn't respond to that tantrum with an insult as that is school playground behaviour, but merely pointed out that this was normal behaviour for lose. Many have behaved in this way on forums when they have heard of the NHS changes and checks for the first time. It's not uncommon.
RENTING? Have you checked to see that your landlord has permission from their mortgage lender to rent the property? If not, you could be thrown out with very little notice.

I have to disagree with your suggestion that FBaby 'didn't like what she heard about the NHS changes.' I read that she was asking for clarification about the differing information given on the NHS website links and yours.

Despite my trying to explain the reasons why both you and FBaby seem to be taking offence at each others posts I have to say that your total disregard of those reasons and your continuing response by quoting out of context comments can only lead me to believe that you are rather arrogant and dare I say it (yes I will) full of too much self importance.

Although I have been extremely grateful for the information that you have provided and no way doubt your knowledge, the 'putting down' of posters in their inability to keep up with current legislation is uncalled for.

This is obviously your area of expertise and in the same way that I would not expect everyone to know about my area of expertise, I find it difficult to accept and read your comments as anything other than the 'boy are you stupid' kind.
