    On the radio they are reporting that diesel is cheaper than unleaded now.

    At a station yesterday, I paid 112.9ppl for petrol and they charging 113.9ppl for diesel. So, it is certainly getting there.

    Just been past Tesco, UL =115.9 Derv=114.9 SUL=120.9 :(
    Asda both UL and DERV at 114.7.

    I filled up with diesel last night. 114.9 for unleaded, 112.9 for diesel - this was an Esso station. Morrisons was 116.9 for both.


    When I first passed my test about 30 years ago, diesel was always cheaper than petrol, but I can't remember that being the case for many many years now.

    I heard that today, but I don't seem to recall it being cheaper, it must have only been for a very short time.

    When I started driving diesel cars the price was 20p a gallon cheaper than unleaded.

    Diesel used to be routinely cheaper than petrol. It was only when it became fashionable to drive Diesel that it became more expensive. Usually it was 2-3p a litre cheaper than petrol.

    It's been the case on and off for a few weeks in Scotland, it was referred to on BBC Breakfast in the last few days (they are often a bit slow on the uptake) and the BBC website has this article.

    Diesel is still too expensive.

    I used to reckon diesel was 8 to 16 pence a litre cheaper in France and Belgium. and about 25 pence cheaper in Luxembourg

    I've posted a comment like this before, and said this had surpassed 30 pence

    These differences are now close to 40 pence and more.
