The answer is No then, as was suggested earlier.
Try harder with fixing the aerial.

..or if there's line of sight to the Astra satellites just get a Sky dish and point it through a closed window. I did that for years in 2 separate properties (both through single-glazed windows in the flats' kitchens)

thanks , however it wants to be a single box under the TV , not a disk powered or internal ariel powered unit

as no one can suggest one , it looks like they are not made

You have the almost perfect setup, Raspberry pi + Openelec + Kodi and TV remote control. I use my Samsung TV remote for the above.

    Not only not made, but:

    - there's no official transmission service that it could use.
    - no one is marketing such a solution (even as a "coming soon" prospect).
    - a STB with "Ethernet" capability is more like a Youview box i.e. a piece of complex equipment, which would be at least 5-10 times as expensive as the cheapest Freeview box.

In other words, it's unlikely that anyone is going to create such a set-up any time soon - the economic/marketing position is not right for it.

yup , I can leave a android box/openelec box with a full settup , however can you suggest a good addon that covers MOST of the freeview channels , not film on is very restricted and cut down , 35 channels , those inc welsh scotish northern ireland and parlement , (not needed) , and some of the main ones are missing

    is there an alternative?
