Spoke to NCO today re. missing SC payment to Very account. They finally 'found it'. Very conveniently not allocated to my account in time for the deadline for dreaded BNPL to kick in.

As previously posted, I paid again, directly to Very, to avoid the BNPL. This means that when NCO post the payment to my Very account it will be in credit. I have to then phone NCO back to request a refund. What a palava. I was not allowed to request a refund today because although they have found the payment, and yes it was paid to them a month ago, it hasn't yet been posted to my account and so my account doesn't show a refund is due.

Useless.....bl**dy useless

Think they'd be getting my, 'how dare you treat me like that' letter,:eek: very convenient it would have blown off your BNPL if you hadn't had the dosh to overpay.

So I receive an email this morning from contact@lcsdr.com

Apparently they "need to speak to you about a EDF Energy matter as soon as possible. Please contact us quoting your reference number xyz"

They kindly left me a phone number to call them on.

I replied to the email and advised if they want to communicate with please ensure all communications are in writing.

[STRIKE]I am guessing EDF have sold my debt then:D [/STRIKE]

Er - apparently debt not sold.....this taken from LCS website

"Has LCS bought my debt?
The simple answer is no. We do not purchase debt. We act on our client instructions. If we have written to you, it will be on behalf of our client. They will have authorised us to deal with the account on their behalf. We will at all times deal with you in a fair, responsible and amicable manner and work with you to resolve any outstanding account matter with our client."

So assuming debt remains with EDF they will just have to carry on getting the token payments from SC.

Debt-free and Proud!
Been contacting all my creditors just to check the final payment amount I've got on my spread sheets still matches their figure. A couple of my final payments will be a little higher than my normal monthly payment and they all seemed very concerned that I might not be paying my priority debts:rotfl:

Several of them told me I had done a fantastic job and congratulated me! I have to say as the time gets closer the more anxious I am feeling. Will fate give me a trouble free two weeks until my final payment, or is there an almighty spanner about to be thrown into the works? Well the car is still going, so fingers crossed it will last the distance.

What an awesome Christmas you are going to have - not necessarily because you will have extra money to spend, or even want to spend, but because you will know you have achieved your DFW goal.

GUO - everything crossed for you:D

• Anyone had any success making token payments of about £5 to this company?

Tempted to try to get them to default it, take me to court (would rather a ccj and frozen interest)?

Creation have been more problem than all my other debts put together, I had to go to the FSO last year to get them to reduce it to some sort of decent amount and now a year later, I'm fighting exactly the same battle again.

We owe them 17000 on 3 different credit cards.

£6446, £6055 and £4869

With the reduced interest last year AFTER going to the FSO (creation didn't admit fault but reduced the interest anyway)

We were paying them back a total of £104.39,
£44.06 a month was interest so we were only paying them back £66.33 meaning it will take me 24 years to pay it off or until I'm 75

If they froze the interest, it would take me 14 years or until I'm 65, still a long time but much more doable.

The stupid thing is, this is making me and my wife so stressed it's slowly killing us both, so the chances of things improving financially are zero, more likely will get worse due to ill health.

While I'm not trying to get out of repaying, I do think Creation have to take some of the responsibility.

Me very ill and depressed, not in right frame of mind applying for cards online while depressed. A few clicks of a mouse, very little details requested. We already were up to the limit on one of their cards having only made minimum payments for years, so what do they do, send us another two cards with £10k of credit.

If I lent a friend 10K after they struggled to repay back my original loan, almost 100% of you would tell me it's my stupid fault for lending them more.

On a separate note, when you phone the likes of Payplan and Stepchange etc, they ask you about all your debts etc then happily tell you your estimated debt free date.

They should know by now that if any debts are with Creation, this is simply not a true or close debt free date hence should stop giving people false hope. All it does is push the stress levels to breaking point when a few months later we find this isn't the case.

Well that's a nice surprise.

I wrote a letter to creation and copied it to the FSA about my interest.

The FSA said (as expected) there was nothing they could do until Creation had been given a chance to respond but had contacted Creation to let them know anyway.

Today I received a letter for each of the 3 accounts and Creation have frozen the interest on all 3 for 6 months.
The way things are going, soon we are all going to be victims of something or other.

Who will we blame then?
