I don't know if Puzz could update us on the PRAT group sometime? Has it finally officially defaulted Puzz? There isn't any interest charged now is there? Puzz can rock my understanding :D!!

    B[/QUOTE]
My BC went over to PRA Group, I am paying them now and it disappeared from my Noddle Account a couple of months ago, only to turn up in this months as an "other account" and in magic red letters "DEFAULT".

I think the cogs whirr slowly but anybody moving to PRA should get defaults eventually, although Puzz did speak to them I think and they tried to imply the default wasn't always automatic?

BC handle this so poorly though.

    Hello all...!

No default here yet from the PRAT group.. like bb BC disappeared from my noddle awhile back but hasn't reappeared anywhere yet, I will keep you posted when it does...!! Hopefully shiny and red like bb's...!!! Brogs, no interest being charged apparently but as I don't receive statements from them and they are not on my credit file they could be up to anything...! If they don't reappear on my next noddle report..(about 3 weeks) then I will write or phone them.

Does anyone here have a contact number for NCO - Shop Direct? This is the group receiving my DMP payments from SC in relation to my Very account. They still haven't credited the October payment. I paid it again directly to Very myself to avoid BNPL interest, but I want my October payment back (because my additional direct payment, which equalled same as SC missing payment, took balance owing to zero) :(

Very are most unhelpful if I phone them - advising I need to phone SC. I haven't done that yet - thought I would see if anyone had a phone number for NCO first.

  • Hi January,

I have contact details for NCO Resolve which I think is NCO Shop Direct as this is what it says on my StepChange statement. Mine is a Littlewoods account but that's also part of the Shop Direct Group. I have the telephone number and email address. Not sure if I should post on the forum (not sure why lol) so will pm you.

    Hope they are right,

    Very strange thing tonight.

Logging in to various debt accounts to check balances and one of the CC accounts shows a very lovely

    Credit Limit: £13,000
    Current balance £0
    Available credit: £13,000

In my dreams (not the available credit, but the current balance bit):rotfl:

Anyway, reading the on-screen statement it states 'Partial Write Off' and the amount was the balance I was expecting to see.

So, I log into our second account with this company and same thing for account number two:j

Stranger still there is an offer of a balance transfer at 0%:rotfl:

Now, I will go to bed dreaming it really has been written off, but knowing it more likely has been passed to a DCA. Oh well, one can but dream ;)

I know, but between the two accounts there was over £25k. I smiled when I finally went to bed last night. It was like a little lottery win (in my head).

I know a DCA will pop up with these accounts soon, but it was nice for one night ;)

Wouldn't that be fantastic! If it was written off for good I mean:D

I never check my lottery tickets straight away because until I do I could be a millionaire!

(never am though, never seem to even win a tenner:rotfl:)

Me either, but when I do but a ticket I carry it round for a month without checking just so I can dream:o

Fingers crossed January that a mystery benefactor paid up your debts :rotfl:

Just got a new noddle report so thought I'd do some spreadsheet updates.

First thing is that out of my 6 CC, 3 are defaults, 1 is shown as up to date, 1 is missing from noddle, and 1 is shown as LATE PAYMENT - BC get a grip!

Next thing is that I started this year owing just over 20K and I should end the year in the 18K's, ok so it's £18990:rotfl: but it's still in the 18's.

On the down side my noddle score dropped from 492 to 479, probably because of BC I suspect.

On an even more positive note when I started the year my total debt, including mortgage was £75k and I should finish the year in 65K. The sooner I can clear the mortgage, the faster I can hit the other debts. I'm almost tempted to use my slight increase in pay to increase the mortgage payments, although I also have a secure loan which I pay more interest on than anything else, so perhaps I should try to overpay on those.

On the down side, work says there will be no overtime as of Jan, which is a not funny laugh since we are already short staffed and it's just not possible to be in two places at once. This means it's awkward to do my SC review since I was planning to declare some of my extra money, but if it's going to disappear again I'd probably better not. Thinking about that one.

Hopefully I've cut some expenses too so that should give me a pound or two spare to increase payments.

So overall it's looking less gloomy, if I could figure out how to work the spreadsheet so the balances go down faster when mortgage is paid, I might find out that I'd be debt free before 2031:eek:

  • Almost had a new "default" project today. My Sainsbury's statement arrived with a £12 late payment fee and interest re-instated. !!!!!!?

Was just going to write my BC letter explaining they were going to get the £5 treatment but decided to take the bull by the horn and ring them.

Anyway, 12 month interest free plan later and the interest and late fee refunded I will let them off :D;)

They were nice as pie too and I even talked through their process for default too explaining what I did with Barclaycard. Again they agreed it is the only way they will default because I am now paying more than my contracted minimum payment.

Will leave it as the normal payment for now, but in 12 months I guess I might have to go for the default if it becomes hard to maintain the 0%.
