    Hi,

All a landlord check looks at are the public information sections of your file.

They don't see your financial dealings, only insolvency, Bankrupcy, and CCJ's appear on it.

    You shouldn't have a problem.

Thank you. As I thought but some sources mention that the DMP or a bad credit score can hurt, but a credit score is just a fluffy thing to give us to indicate our rating sucks.

It's just odd that experian offer two levels of checking. It implies they given an opinion on the person being checked so could say here is what you can have but their credits not the best like!

Anyway aside from that I understand the agency are going to do checks with our employers, and current landlord, and make sure we've been paying council tax, utilities and rent. 100% SQUEEKY CLEAN, so all in all with the fact that the landlord(lady) has remarked to the letting agency (literally one woman in an office lol) what a lovely family we seem, I think I'll fill the forms and let the next few weeks take care of themselves with a positive mindset.

Thanks. Well because we are cursed with being honest people and because of the questions on the application we had to fess up. 10 creditors, 10 years, 30k debt with no option for garantor or advance payments It'll be good night vienna. Not happy it's going to screw us over for things like this but going to have to hammer this DMP!!!

Odds on getting this house now drifted out to about 200/1

Hi all thanks for the kind words.
quick question I've informed all my creditors about my circumstances who were all great and understanding about placing my account on hold.
just received an email from daybreak ltd which sounds judgemental to me and has annoyed me a little it reads as follows.
"Thank you for your email, i can see from your application that you were in full time employment, is this still the case? Please could you advise in a bit more detail of the reason for your change in circumstances since you took out the loan last month (december). "
What do i tell them if anything I've informed them of my step change details is that enough.
The loan was for a playstation for my son for xmas i don't need judging by this company.

If you want to keep them sweet, although you don't need to, but you could just write and say your hours have been cut, overtime stopped, whatever springs to mind, they won't pursue it further.

Thanks i will just keep it short and sweet.
  • I am trying to get debts sold on rather than passed onto someone else to manage. Moorcroft are looking after one of the debts and have said that they will be sending someone round to me to discuss my account. I am now freaking out! Any advice...?

Although they do employ the services of self employed collectors, there use is rare.

By the way, that's all they are, self employed collectors, who get paid according to results, they are NOT bailiffs, big difference.

You don't have to answer the door to them, they have no power whatsoever, you can just say I'm not talking to you, go away, they are rather a laughable threat to make to someone actually.

Look on the internet about how people deal with them, there's some cracking videos on you tube, filming them on your phone usually gets rid of them.

I always hoped one would turn up on my doorstep so I could have a little fun with them, but alas they never materialised.

Seriously it's just another one of there laughable threat letters DCA's send out all the time, they are extreamly unlikely to call and easy to get rid of if they do.
