    Indeed Pepipoo is the place, don't relay on the reg number slip, they must have your correct reg as you received the NIP/letter.

    Also they don't have to prove you received the original NIP they only have to show one was sent.

    A fail to furnish will really hurt you.

    Why haven't you telephoned the issuer of the paperwork ? It would appear you were on the road at the time of the offence ? If the photo of the offending vehicle is a van lorry or similar or a different type of car you can forget all about it , send paperwork back stating such . But i think the offending vehicle was you and the NIP time period has been missed , end of matter ( they got the registration wrong and they NIP'd the wrong owner)
