Iceland [STRIKE]is still £25[/STRIKE] or was but now its £35.
  • Yes I got the email too and they won't budge, so I cancelled and got a refund for the unused months. I also put a proper complaint in along the lines of "how can they do this part-way through the annual agreement I have, what a tawdry thing to do to customers you agreed a price with" I also told them that our weekly £100+ shop and petrol are going elsewhere (been "with" them for many years). If I wasn't in an agreement with them I would not complain, but I won't be treat like that.

Tesco is still advertising "* Once a day deliveries (over £25) for every day included in your plan" so I think that the £25 minimum should be honoured for the duration of any existing Delivery Saver plans. If not I shall do my weekly shop elsewhere.

My midweek plan has 11 months to run. As it was paid for with a Club Card voucher I would be ineligible for any refund under the Delivery Saver Guarantee. (after 5 deliveries which would otherwise have cost £3 there would be no refund under the guarantee in any case). The main reason that I spent on Delivery Saver rather than cheap / free deliveries at certain times was I thought that I had an assurance that the plan was fixed for 12 months whereas the cheap / free deliveries could be restricted or ended.

They just refunded me £10, for the 4 months left on my Saver Plan. However, as Yorkie and Alaq say, we have a contract with them and they should honour it.

I spend about £2,000 a year at Tesco. Not any more! I wonder how many millions they will lose by alienating their small customers.

I have also just opened up email from Tesco re £40 minimum shop. As has been said I can't understand how they are able to justify changing our contracts part way through the year - regardless if its 9 weeks or 9 months into contract.
As all business's need to amend over time - I would have expected them to make this change to new contracts only.
You can bet that other retailers will be watching closely.
In reality most of my shops tend to be well over the £25 mark, however as I am about to go in for first of two knee replacements I was expecting to make more use of the facility I had signed up for.
Fuming does not even come close to how I feel about Tesco's underhand tactics today.

Possible course of action to threaten and if necessary follow?

I work from home, so I can choose the slot that is cheapest. Are you saying you get a free slot at Asda? I used to shop with them but switched to Tesco.

Free slot at Tesco but I pay £1 for Asda slot.
