I'm also off to bed. This is for the person who reported me as being racist because I complained about Glaswegian white man chests in my local Asda
you have obviously never met me :rotfl::rotfl:

All of the thinking about how the kids are growing up way too fast had me thinking about holidays. It's been absolutely years since we all had a holiday together. I can't even remember when. With OH always needing looked after and DS2 loathing of strange places, it's been impossible.
My friend has a place in Portugal and regularly offers the use of it. Ive just never taken her up on it. There is one week where it's technically possible to go at the end of August. DS2 was my stumbling block thoughpoint blank refused when I suggested it. The uncertainty of going to a strange place in that timescale is something he wouldn't even consider
After many phone calls and plan hatching today......my friends husband has been convinced to do an in depth video of his journey there next week. Poor man has agreed to video his journey, the property and surrounding area so that DS2 can see what to expect
So subject to DS2 video approval......me and all 3 kids should be going there at the end of August. I'm so pleased as it's an opportunity none of us has had for years with one thing and another. And one I feel won't come along again :A I don't have loads of friends, but the ones I do have are wonderful!
Only worry I have is I've let DS2 passport expirein theory I should have time but does anyone know the current state of play with passports? Im willing to pay extra for peace of mind if I have to
I imagine with the current situation and lots changing their plans to travel it shouldn't be too bad. Dgd got her first passport in 2 weeks and her dad got a renewal of his expired passport in 5 days. Do the post office still do the 2 week service? I would say if you get in post first day of school holidays then it is likely to be back before ds2 has consented to attend.
I have been watching lots of BIG BANG THEORY and Sheldon reminds me of your ds2 in years to come. Hilarious programme and was one of dad's favourites.
It breaks down the problems faced with comedy very well, especially when Sheldon is trying to get out of doing something.
Get it in the post quickly.

SPC 7 Pot No 410 £232.63 Total0 -
It was a nice cloudy and rainy day yesterday, so, M list is now "completed"! My impression was quite a few things going to very high prices. A number of changes in the 'fresh' fruit and veg. dept. - some going up - the loose ginger from £2.69/kg to £2.72/kg:( (will that appear at all on the APG anyway as I can't see it on a.com? However, I might not be entering the 'right' search term - if I knew what term would bring it up then I would use that term, obviously I can't as I do not know), the loose parsnip from £1.29/kg to £1.32/kg:( in M but does not appear anyway and loose Jonagold apples no longer on 'eday low price' of 99p/kg but have increased to £1/kg:eek:. Some really high prices here (IMO): 1kg carrots at 62p:eek:, Savoy Cabbage appears to be at 72p - the highest price I remember ever seeing in M and Cucumber at 47p:eek: (I think that may actually be a price reduction - from 49p to 47p but my guide fixed on the 45p price that S was some time ago, so therefore seems quite high - whoopsies at 14p or below anyway, so not having any of them:rotfl:).
The individual peppers have gone slightly down - from 59p to 52p - but that's still way too dear for me - in the light of 3 pack pepper regularly being on expensive 99p prices, and probably been cheaper than that in the past, making 52p for a single pepper seem quite high - in any event I think it would be better to buy large packs of peppers at times when they go on 'offer' or to buy whoopsied much cheaper.
Elsewhere the Simple wipes have gone from £1.99 offer pricing to £3.19 everyday low price (and one version to £3.29 everyday low price). Whatever, I do not call a price increase of £1.20 as amounting to putting something on a "low" price - to me it is a *high* price, so avoid!
The own brand suncreams, that were a rip-off anyway at £2 for just 200ml compared to £2 for 500ml No-Ad Sun Lotion version that may have gone quickly out of stock (being in very limited circulation in the first place) - apparently one of the best suncreams there is - the own brand 40% of the size have gone from £2 to £3.50 and any 2 for £6 - they must think we are stupid. However, I suspect they are betting on the good ol' Great British general public and won't be far off the mark there:rotfl::(:(. Sorry folks - I think the "public generally" are stupid and the supermarkets continue to have no trouble exploiting such a situation. (For that is their job - to sell to people at the highest price they can possibly get. (Maybe that's an oversimplifiction:think:. Maybe not:think:.))
The Febreze Set and Refresh Units - Vanilla Latte and etc. - have gone from £1.99 to... £3.99, marked as "everyday low price" in one of my two stores.
At least there's no doubt anymore on the Haribo Tangfastics, that were recently 50p - they've now gone up to their 95p everyday low price!:rotfl::(
The Chicago Town Deep Dish 320g pizzas are now on their "good" price of 99p - as opposed to rip-off 2 for £3 mbuy pricing. (There are some Goodfellas Pizzas at £1.34 as well, and some Chicage Town Meat Supreme Subs at £1, but I do not know why I bother as those "Chicago Town" are lower weight and the Goodfellas are hardly much higher weight than the Deep Dish Chicago Town in any event and worse price per unit. Then again, I have Dr Oetker pizzas at £1.49:eek: on the list and they aren't much more - and probably shouldn't even bother with the Chicago Town Deep Dish as weightier own brand versions have been known to go down to better prices by weight.)
On the Chicago Town Deep Dish, the game is given away in one of my stores as they have failed to change all the SELs - they are 99p but, when I visited, they had left one of them showing £1.99 everyday low price and 2 for £3. Good to know we can rely on these incompletist, inefficient allistics that fail to do a job completely and leave out-of-date SELs which might help current customers to learn the true position as to the "everyday low pricing" on them.
And... :T:jthe Mr Kipling (long-life) puddings are, at last, not on what appeared to have become an established everyday low price. They are now £1, rather than the £1.69 everyday low price - although, as they were expensive 2 for £3 mbuy, that would be £1.50 each and therefore only a 'saving' of 50p not 69p. Anyway, I don't why I bother:rotfl:, as the bigger tins of a different brand of puddings are same price, for much more, and the Kiplings of course were downsized from 2x110g (110g? 100g?) maybe a year or two ago to 2x95g:( now.
I'm no longer bothering with the Huggies Pull Ups as they now still seem way too expensive for the relatively low number of nappies in the packs, but just to note that they are at £2.49 in M. Utterly, utterly expensive:rotfl:. I think their 'everyday low price' is some much higher price, probably £4 something or maybe even £5.18! Sains. seems some rip-off mbuy pricing at the moment - although very likely not as rip-off as M's eday "low" price - I have no idea who buys at these prices!
It was the Rainbow Trout that I had trouble with this time (can't see any offer for it on either of the fish counters I saw), rather than the Fresh Beef Ox Tail elsewhere which, it turns out, remains on £4.32/kg and is only available in one of my stores. I doubt that will work on T PP. Nonetheless, the Mackerel is clearly £3.66/kg in M. I believe the 500g bacon that was £2 (and compared from 530g at A) is now not available in M.
Finally, I'm having trouble this time with the price on the M Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs 6 pack. I now have a store that has them as being £1 everyday low price and it is not the store that had them at that price last week. Instead, the one that was £1 "everyday low price" (you know it is not) last week now says 79p everyday low price, whilst the other is now £1 everyday low price! I did not feel that a further store would help the matter either! I'd just be left with, probably, two against one but, even then, not trusting that the majority would be right. So, I do not know and in any event I'm leaving them off.
The APG gave me this result on Monday 20th July:
1x ASDA Mixed Weight Free Range Eggs (6PK) £0.85 £0.85
(Don't worry - I did not buy them.)
However, in my view, they are simply wrong! The Medium Weight eggs are 85p in M, not the Mixed Weight, whilst the Mixed Weight may be either 79p or £1, so they are lacking in pedanticness and clearly have a total inability to identify the correct ones to the correct ones on the last occasion! Once again, these human-being price collectors - so inefficient!:rotfl: (And, of course, you never mistakes do you Savvy? No, I don't!!:p Actually, I've never claimed I do not make mistakes (and that sentence "No, I don't!!" wasn't meant in that way btw) - but my contention has always been that I make far fewer mistakes than the vast majority of people (it's an important, subtle distinction that I think is lost on many people) and, yet again, I believe that my contention is proven right.)
They should open their eyes IMO, and pay attention to the actual words that the SELs say! Completely useless:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.
So, there we are - Mr A's price collectors and the staff at Mr M* - waste of space:rotfl::rotfl:!
And, on that, 'enjoy the list' and - goodnight!:D:)

Just before I really go, for now, I just saw again Sepp Blatter being showered with "money" and it's making me laugh! (I know - I must be immature at times!) But, certainly, just thinking, that comedian obviously did his job very well.
Ha, ha, very funny.
Alright, goodnight:wave:.0 -
We've had people shake there heads as we get out the car but soon shut up when we get the wheelchair out so I know what you mean and if she had a leg missing people can see that:o
Been in exactly the same situation many times where people judge you using disabled facility's they think you have to have no legs to be disabled.:(
I also have a child with a very rare life threatening condition. We have been at his bedside on a few occasions praying for him to pull through just before last Christmas was the last time.
With regards to the bull sh!! of who works and who does not and who claims benefits are people forgetting the highest claimants from the state.
Claiming for Tampax duck houses and to get there moat cleaned And flat screen TVs while appearing to work but the fact of the matter is they are on one big jolly up. Whilst shafting us common folk
Now we have television programs slagging people off for claiming benefits its a distraction method to divide society
People should mind there own business where someone else's life is concerned unless they are causing harm or loss to them directly
And if you are dull enough to work all the hours god sends more fool you as life is to short. We work to live so why kill yourself working
Work as little as you can spend as much time as possible with your kids family and friends that's all that really matters.
Not materialistic things and working your balls off to be a slave to the system.

Hi Susan, looks like I've just missed you. How are you keeping these days?
I know you've got a 'new life' with the rescue dogs, much admiration for you doing that. You seem to be forever on the go girl. Take good care of yourself, keep enough 'me' time so you remain in the pink and able to carry on with this calling. Much love to you xThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Morning all. Hope everyone is well.
There were no restrictions on dogs on the beach in Sept. Also other beaches nearby all ok except Bridlington. Hth xxCherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.
No matter how you feel, get up, dress up & never give up.0
