In other news country manor is not holding out well according to damp report 60% damp in one place and 40% several others. :(

Live and learn, don't think I made a good choice in hindsight. Deciding what to do next. Would have to go to a caravan workshop I think to be repaired under cover I think.

Mr TS has devised a chart to decide whether we should keep it or count our losses and get rid of.

Expensive lesson learnt on my part. :o

    e-vouchers in from a c&c thursday 16th

Mine have just been credited for my shop yesterday - now I just need them to charge me the right amount for the shop instead of the full 'before offers' amount !

I bet I get slated but I feel this :(

I have had OH bills from the priory through recently. Yes I could have left him to rot in the local MHU and get kept safe and not helped :( but I couldn't.

I live a luxurious life? I can't have him here now because I want my children to have a semi? normal life. But I'm committed to looking after him and I think I always will be. So now I'm keeping our 2 households on the same money as I was keeping one on before. My savings are all but depleted........a whole future (of mine.....and his life time of working hard to save for the future) gone :( and I'm now having to consider working 12 hour days again to make up the shortfall. So the kids can go on and do what I had the chance to :rotfl:

Yes I'm really priveliged. There are no breadlines in sight because quite honestly I'd need to be on my !!!! with my hands tied behind back to be in a position to say I can't feed my children.

And for the record... my rant about benefits was not intended to offend people who get disability benefits that are genuinely entitled to them or their children. Anyone who knows me well enough will know what I meant

You're not going to get slated from me.

We all do our very best for our family, and we should all put our children first, even in very difficult situations. I assume that many people on the Elite have had difficult times, and this is what has brought them to our strange and wonderful group.

You have been through a hard time, and have had to make horrible decisions for the benefit of your children. Just because it is the right thing to do, doesn't mean that it is less difficult indeed I think it is harder.

You do need to lighten the load off your shoulders, whether this is how you are feeling or your commitments to your family/others.

Take a breathe and take time to let yourself catch up. If you do not look after yourself, you will be on your knees and who will be there to look after your kids.

    Remember nothing else matters x

Right I am off to bed, another 6 am start tomorrow.... lets hope that it is not another 13.5 hour working day.

I cannot moan, as I really enjoy my job at the moment, it allows me to escape sitting by OH DF's bedside waiting for the last breath!

His sister commented about me working at the bedside on Saturday... I reminded her that it is likely to me paying for her father's funeral... it shut her up (but was rather rude of me).

LFAB where art thou. I've only just tuned in
I seriously do object to having to iron uniforms, pack bags and have planner debates for a day and a half of school. DS2 picked today to tell me he thinks he needs new shoes  he does as well  I had no idea they were that small :o He can wear black trainers for 2 days.....hopefully no one will notice.

I've had a very emotional clear our today. Prompted by DS2 objecting to having his lunch butty served on a melamine teletubbies plate that is, to be fair, older than him :o He informed me that he his too old for these plates and would like proper ones from now on :o

That was followed by a lecture about how he's had to use second hand characters his whole life and that he had never indeed even liked teletubbies :o as it was before his time.

I realised he is absolutely right :o so I've spent the day clearing the house of an embarrassing amount of child stuff. It is time I realised I'm never going to pack another ninja turtles lunchbox, or pour a bag of sweets into a Pokemon or my little pony bowl and no one is going to drink from the Barbie sports bottle or the Tweenies beaker ever again :( *SIGH*

I could not however part with the Thomas the tank cutlery. It has gone into the greenhouse to start a new life as 'useful items' :o :rotfl::rotfl:

Have to say though, some of that stuff was nearly 20 years old and has been used and dishwashered to within an inch of its life and survived well. Go melamine :D

I admit I have my boys thomas plate and mickey mouse one. Not sure what happened to dd's melamine ware but girly stuff was bought for dgd. Dgd and sometimes his dad can be found using the Thomas plate when they stay.
I also have, what was called in my early childhood, my !!!!!! !!!!!! melamine cup I was given 48 years ago. Rest of set long gone and cup no longer has a handle so is used to hold the water for my painting.

On the subject of carpets. I re carpeted my rental house 3 years ago in a man made poly wot sit carpet. I we to a very good place and he suggested the cheapest he stocked which was this man made carpet. Had a range of 40 or so colours and with underlay cost £14.95 a Sq meter. It if fab and still looks brand new. Any marks are simply removed by rubbing with a baby wipe. The one thing I don't like was I went for the cheap recycled underlay. As this is made up of small bits every so often you stand on a hard bit. The softness is not consistent and I would definitely recommend against using this underlay. The carpet can be rubbed with beach if need be , what's more if you drop bleach on it it doesn't stain at all.
So I vote synthetic if you get the right one.

Sorry I have not been about and was going to type up my mhoc day but lappy now has blue mse which I do not like.
Not been glitching but could do with the big bird bath stuff as rarely glitches usually body wash. Might get some if I get time.

    Hope everyone is well.
