Horrible weather here today for our girls and its due to get much colder within the next few days. Brrrr!!!
Our little girl with the purple-ish comb is still ok thankfully but I bet she will really feel it when the temperature drops.
Egg amounts are going up here so by the end of the week we should have enough for a huge omelette. How about everyone else with their eggs? Numbers creeping up I hope.:)
No eggs from the ducks as yet this year. Ours normally start to lay again around mid January. But, they are getting on a bit now with 2 of them being 7 and the other 5 being 6 years old. We did notice a big drop in eggs last year from them.
Hope everyone and their hens and ducks are all well.
Take care

Hi everyone
How are you all getting on?
Mine are undercover with tarpaulin againNot the tarpaulin we used last time but a new one that covers the hens coop and the duck run together. Last time it was a nightmare trying to pin down 2 lots and making the boundary between the hens coop and the ducks run waterproof. But, we did manage it eventually.
Its not too bad light wise in there for them at the moment but if it gets really overcast we have a light in between the coop and the run we can switch on that will brighten it up for themWe use the light for us to see where we are going when locking up at night especially if one of them is playing up and has to be chased around the garden
Have not heard anything further yet. I really hope it doesn't last for too long this time. I really miss seeing them playing and foraging out and about all day
Take care everyone

Just been trying to get some photos on here using postimage as I have always had trouble with Photobucket. Thought I had managed it but no of course I haven't as it just posted the link to the photo here and not the photo itself. Guess I will try tinypic instead. Watch this space cos I will be back when I finally succeed. Or I think I will just pull my hair out instead.
Above pic of my girls dust bathing in their temporary dustbath.
YAY I'VE MANAGED TO PUT THE PIC ON!!! I'VE DONE IT FINALLY!!

Did you click on this icon from the bar of icons at th top of where you write your post?
Then you have to paste the address of the photo link into the address bar that pops up, deleting the http: that's already there.
Then you should see the picture in your post.
Plus, when you get the option of addresses in postimage, choose the 'direct link' option. (And then paste it in the icon address bar).(I just lurve spiders!)

Hi Pyxis
Thank you so much for your help/suggestion.
I did actually manage it in the end. But, have tried the way you suggest and can not do it from that way for some reason.
To get my picture on I did a right click on the image in postimage and opened it up in a new tab. Went on to that page and a larger pic was showing so I copied and pasted it and managed to get the pic on that way.
