Otherwise we'll get Stelios to sit on your face

That thought is going to give me nightmares ... :p ... or maybe sweet dreams?! Not even going there ...
    Gone ... or have I?

Please allow me to set the record straight. By any measure of acceptable business practice or professional conduct mine would be judged a valid complaint, not a grudge.

easyJet has broken its contract of carriage. They confirmed my flight bookings in writing, took money from my accounts and then cancelled my flights without telling me until I arrived at the check-in desk on the day of my flight. They then twice refused to refund any money until my third letter. They still refuse to repay the higher cost of the replacement flights I was forced by their mistake to pay on the day. Their CS staff have been obstructive I believe in the hope I would give up on my complaint.

As a matter of interest who are the "we" in "we'll get Stelios (no longer in charge of easyJet by the way) to ....."?

Nevertheless I appreciate your sense of humour! Spare me from such a fate!

book flights - pay for flights - easyjet cancel flights because of fraud - no refund

if they sniffed fraud they would have refunded the payments, this makes no sense whatsoever
  • I can sympathise with the Easy Jet person. I made a terrible mistake of getting a name wrong when booking my tickets to Gibraltar on line. When I realised my mistake I informed Opodo by email and rang them when their office opened next day. Opodo informed me because of BA's terms and conditions they could do nothing for me and my ticket was non refundable. I would have to buy 2 more tickets at a cost of £654, the first tickets were £624. I was reeling from shock and stupidly paid up. The booking agent failed to tell me I only needed one ticket as the other one was fine and I was in so much shock I did not notice. I know doubly stupid. I called BA and they said it was not their problem and that I would have to complain to Opodo which I did and am having the same problem as the Easy Jet person with ringing them and emailing them. I am awaiting a full response which i have asked them for in writing. The actual flight there with BA was a nightmare I was delayed at the airport for 3 hours. The flight could not land in Gibraltar at 10pm, so flew to Malaga where we were delayed for another 2 hours as the BA staff left us to wait for a coach with Spanish drivers who could not speak English. They did not offer us any food and drink in all this time and the coach journey was another 2 hours. We eventually arrived in Gibraltar airport at 3am in the morning we were supposed to arrive at 6pm. My friend and I had missed our check in time for our hotel and had to roam the streets of Gibraltar until the hotel opened at 8am. I feel so bad about this entire experience, after all I had the pleasure of paying £1278 for it and wondered if their is anyone out their who can help me as BA and Opodo have not bothered responding. Cheers

Eek - but hard to read but I get your drift.

Normally I would say it's Opodo's issue to deal with, not BA's - but as BA part own Opodo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Opodo you'd think they would be more interested.

I don't understand where easyjet come into this?

But from the BA/Opodo issue you've been treated appaullingly by what appears to be a very stupid booking agent for making you re-book seats that were fine on a non-refundable tickets. To get it better looked at, I would re-write what you've said, insert some paragraphs into it and re-post it under the complaints section at http://www.holidaytruths.co.uk.

They are like a pack of dogs with something like this, and will provide some invaluable help. Good luck and good advice will help you get some justice for this!

Thanks for your comment with which I agree. I have strong doubts about easyJet's claim there had been an attempted fraud using my address, especially as they have been unable to produce any evidence. This leads me to believe there must be another reason which they do not want to admit to, as to why my flights were cancelled without telling me.

i think what you mean was your booking was cancelled not the flights ...this might be what's confusing people
