If you do indeed have a cat 06 loading then I'm afraid you probably won't get one, that is the harsh reality.
Cat 06 denotes first party fraud and financial institutions won't touch you with a barge pole. The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Highly unlikely a bank will register a category 6 CIFAS marker as CIFAS is a database to register proven frauds. APAF can suspect all they like but that is no proof of fraud, therefore no CIFAS marker.
Send a SAR off to CIFAS to put your mind at rest but fraud shouldn't be the reason why you'd be declined for accounts elsewhere - it would be credit-related.
The only markers Lloyds can register with Synectics is to do with applications - if they suspect application fraud they can register a 'refer' status for that particular application.0 -

Hence why I said "If". I'm well aware of the burden of proof required to register a marker, we only have the information relayed by the OP, APAF may well have proof that OP isn't mentioning.
I have quite considerable insight into this world so no need to tell me what CIFAS is :rotfl:The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

Hmm, not quite correct...The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Thanks for the response the young inexperienced agent I spoken to was actually most hopeful, he was discussing with head office and the reason given was 'suspected fraud'. Probably shouldn't have disclosed this but he did and I appreciated the information. He was the one also stating information would not be shared etc.0

Can you prove where the money came from? Can you provide APAF with proof of entitlement? The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Yes - it came from a compromise agreement from my employer (the £25k) the £7k came from my partner and the £4k for selling a vehicle would be harder I guess as it was cash.......
Based on this information is it unlikely I have a CIFAS marker? Nationwide opened an account (then closed it) would it have got that far if I had a marker?
Natwest say application has been referred again would it have gone that far?
Thanks0
