Thanks - mine (18185 via BT) has started working okay now:T0

Last week Ofcom published a clarification that revenue sharing is prohibited on 03 numbers.
The good news is that 18185 is now working again on calls to 03 numbers ! :j0 -
Until a few hours ago I was with Virgin Media - National Accounts (ADSL not Cable) that whilst a BT phone line uses carrier pre select to use Virgin for calls. They allowed indirect short codes - but they are going to move all their non cable customers to TalkTalk which don't allow indirect codes. They moved me 2 hours ago!!!0

But you can still use the 0808 freephone access number.

According to 18185's website, and the MSE 'home-phone-calls' page, regular landline calls should now be just the 5p connection then free.
But I'm still being billed at 1p/min. Not big shakes, but am curious if the new rates are being applied for others or not?
Also, there seems absolutely no way to contact them.
Thanks, and Happy New Year to all :beer:0 -

It's been like that for a long time provided you used the short access code of 18185.
However if you use the 0808 or 020 access numbers then you would pay 1p per minute plus the 5p connection fee.
How do you access 18185?0 -
You can only benefit from the 5p connection then free calls to 01/02/03 numbers, if your landline supplier allows you indirect access via the 18185 code. Many suppliers do not and no one has to offer indirect access anymore not even BT.0

Thanks, Guys.
We've always accessed it using 08081703703. Never new there was another way. D'Oh. Have just tried 18185 and got through OK (we're with PlusNet). Will keep an eye on the charges.
BTW (completely off topic), is there a way I can get an email notification when someone contributes to a thread I've started? Thanks!0 -
