  • Easyjet Emailed me today to say that today the 18th March,  they are releasing seats from end of October through to February 2021. All one way flights are £29.99 or less and I have just booked 2 holidays for next winter, each costing £143.96 for 2 people and 23 kilos of hold luggage. What a bargain.
  • Just released today, 18/03/2020.
  • WE have just stumbled across a problem with the credit voucher issued for Covid 19 cancelled flights. Our voucher was to the value of £932.79 and we re-booked flights for 2021, with all the same extras, and these cost £494.38 in total. Great we thought, money to come back! But No, the small print states there will be no money reimbursed! So lessons learnt:
    1) Make sure you book every extra going, food on board, reserved seats, extra leg room etc etc if it is coming out less than the value of your voucher.
    2) If you are not in a hurry to re-book then request your cash back rather than a voucher.
WE hope this will help other travellers.
    Kind regards,
    Russell Young
  • We have just received our voucher  for £326 by way of an email containing codes. We had an original flight for April at cost of £192 for the both of us, then due to Covid, we put this forward to Sept at a further cost of £130, which was more than was origionally advertised for the cost of the flights on their site, but we went with it thinking that when Covid was over the prices and availability would increase, and September being a popular time..   This flight was recently canclled by Easyjet, so we were offerd a voucher .  Although when we requested a voucher, they stated that it would be available to use for booking up to Sept 2021, it has in fact been given an expiry date of 14th August 2021. They stated it would typically take 3-4 days to arrive, then when we got the confirmation it said  28 days. However we received it after 10 days. Also, the codes cannot be used for online bookings, only to book over the phone.  This is very very dissapointing because phoning their customer services is a feat in itself, and we are now wondering what prices we are going to be offered to us when we phone.  We use Easyjet a lot because we have a holiday apartment in Spain and Potentially, for the value of the voucher on average we would be able to both of us get return flights two or maybe even three times for the value of our voucher.  As we go out of season a lot, flights typically, can be purchased for around £30-50 each way. When we requested the voucher it stated that if the new flights were less than the voucher, the balance would remain on the voucher for future use.  Now They seem to be reneging on a lot of things, and we don't trust them, and now wish we had requested a refund.

Pleased i requested cash refund now as all flights from Newcastle have been pulled except Belfast & Bristol and easyjet have withdrawn/closed
  • I used a credit of £101 to purchase a return flight to the same destination three months later with additional payment of £24.95. I checked the cost of travel on a different browser, and for same flight it costs £84.50.
Removal of the penalty for changes seems to have had no impact on their bottom line, as my change has had an additional charge of £40
Have others noticed this? Once you have accepted the change and paid the difference, is worth appealing?
  • I'm in the middle of a sorry saga with EasyJet that I thought you all would like to hear about, in case it helps. I've not got a resolution yet but will see what happens.
I had return flights booked in May which, obviously, got cancelled. I opted for the voucher rather than refund option. EasyJet sent me, by email, two voucher codes for roughly 60% of what I originally paid almost immediately, which was great. However, vouchers for the remaining 40% never arrived. I gave them the 28 days they said to wait for before I chased them up about this, and when I did I had to call their Customer Service Team by phone. They gave me a voucher for the remaining 40% but also another one for £10 as a courtesy payment. With both of these voucher codes, I also got a "Code Word", which I hadn't got with the first two vouchers. With the first two I just got two voucher codes.
Today I've tried to book new flights on their web site but when you get to the payment section, you can only apply one voucher code. Fair enough, I thought, and recalled that one of the emails had said you have to speak to their Customer Service Team to use multiple vouchers. So, I called them. They were able to successfully redeem the two vouchers which also had code words associated (which were the ones given when I had spoken Customer Services). However, they weren't able to redeem the two that were sent out automatically because, as they said, I didn't have code words for them. They asked me to fill in the "Contact Us Form" to question why I have two codes without code words.
I asked the Customer Services Team Member not to complete the booking and said I would try again after I've heard back from the Contact Us Form process.
Looking into things a bit more after the call, it appears that you can only redeem vouchers given by Customer Services with Customer Services. You can only redeem vouchers that were sent by their automated process on their website, but only one voucher per booking.
The problem I have is that I have two vouchers sent automatically and two given by Customer Services!
I've filled in the Contact Us Form and will see what happens but I did want to warn people (....I probably should have already realised!) that this voucher process is not going to be made easy by EasyJet!
Hope people find this useful to read and learn about!
  • Not so sure about the duty free carrier bag trick? Your bag is checked before you go through to duty free? And they are very strict now with the case size etc. And you are not even allowed to carry a purse never mind a carrier bag?
  • Summer 2024 tickets have been released.

After advice from a friend declined first option for hold luggage as it applied to both passengers while we only need one case between us so further on in booking marathon added one suitcase & saved. Also as it’s a domestic flight not selecting seats as we can sit anywhere - only 1 hour flight. Result is same cost as train trip & hopefully more reliable! Pays to ignore the pleas on booking page to add add add.
