Error posting links

it works if I insert the link into the link box rather than posting direct to the page.

all using the same copy link apart from the first one

Basically if you do anything where the forum has to parse the link to format it, then the glitch kicks in and produces the wrong link to the current post.

Only way to get it to do it correctly is manually format the link in source mode so the forum never has to do anything, so doesn't change it.

Yes in source mode, or not WYSISWG, as that fully formats the link code for you. The forum then doesn't have to re-parse it to format it, so it doesn't bu**ger it up.

Torbrex, MSE is not posting spam updates to your Spambot thread which is where they obviously should be posted.

MSE Martin should have posted his apology to your thread and MSE should be updating it, but they have started a new thread for some reason.

My view is they probably do not want people reading your thread which means their apology is not genuine.
