  • Hi everyone, we are going to DLP on the 4th October for 2 nights, 2 days in the park and then an extra day, i am looking for transfers from CDG airport to Disneyland but so far everything ive found is so expensive (£82) for a 10minute train ride, any other suggestions on transport? we are looking at hiring a car maybe?

Also how much spending money would be reasonable for 2 adults and one child (2years old) we are flying in friday morning at 8.30 and leaving sunday night at 9pm?

    Thanks

transfers between CDG and DLP aren't cheap, whichever way you do it. The cheapest (and slowest) method is 18 euros per adult, your child is free, each way, on the VEA coach.

you could have a look at a shared shuttle with rstransports - get a quote on their website.

Food is expensive at DLP - I'd go with around 100 euros per day, that should give you enough for lunch and dinner, and maybe a bit for souvenirs (also expensive at DLP).

does that price have either 40% off or 2 nights free? If so, its unlikely to be beat for an onsite hotel - but for that kind of money I'd be looking at booking an apartment nearby and buying annual passes for park tickets (these give you Extra magic hours and free car parking in the main Disney car park).

Yes, I think it does give me 2 days free and it was for the basic cabin. It will cost £76 to upgrade to a Premium - is it worth it? The Disney site links for more info don't work so I can't see what the differences actually are.

Good to know I'd get free parking if I bought the annual passes though. I've been looking at Val d Europe, which has free shuttle, but parking is 10Euros a day which brings price just shy of DCR. The reviews for some of the cheaper hotels are making me feel ill - bedbugs urghh! If anyone has any recommendations for family of 5 I'd be grateful.

    Thanks

you have booked to Disneyland Paris haven't you? If you've booked for Paris, you'll have to get a metro then a local train from Gare du Nord to DLP station.

The prices for direct to DLP were coming up about £100 - £150 more. Now we have the opportunity to have a wander around Paris before we come home on the last day.

Now its just a case of finding a hotel and park tickets now. Was looking at the Hotel l'Elysee Val d'Europe its No1 on Tripadvisor with good reviews and free shuttle to the park everyday.

I'll try to sum up the differences:

Basic 2-bed cabins: Bed 1 - double bed, Bed 2 - bunk beds, persons 5/6 use a bed settee, old appliances (microwave, dishwasher, hob, coffee maker, kettle, under counter size fridge with small freezer compartment, tv [not a flat screen]) bathroom with bath, separate w/c, outdoor bench, bbq, no decking though.

Premium cabin: Bed 1 - double bed with ensuite (shower, basin w/c), Bed 2: 3 single beds (4th single is a fold up stowed underneath another bed in the room), new/newer appliances (microwave, dishwasher, hob, coffee maker, kettle, free standing large fridge/freezer, flat screen tv), additional shower room and basin, separate w/c, decking with outdoor bench, bbq, french slideable opening doors (very useful in good weather), air con. Both ensuite and shower room have heated towel rails (useful for wet towels if going swimming).

Premium Plus: as Premium above but with a Nespresso machine, bathrobes, hairdryer, internet connection.

All cabins have own parking outside, pots, pans, cutlery, bedding, towels (must take your own if swimming, along with a tea towel and I advise taking a can opener too as the ones provided are useless).

    Hope this helps!

Edit: almost forgot - all cabins have electric heaters/radiators.

Thanks Gels that is really helpful, I think I would pay the extra looking at the differences.

Have found a couple of camp sites with caravan/chalet rentals 15/20min from Disney with good reviews, have posted in case useful for others:
