Disneyland Paris/EuroDisney - Questions & Answers

Ok we have never been abroad before so all new to us, we have sent off for passports as we are looking to go to canary islands for 2 weeks next summer, however would love to take the children to DLP just after Christmas for 3 or 4 nights (anywhere between 26th dec and 3rd jan). My question is; as we are a large family (2 adults 4 kids age 5, 11, 13, 15) what is the cheapest way to do this?
There is a coach trip for 3 nights leaving on 27th from our city, this includes coach seat, ferry or train crossing, 2 day hopper ticket, hotel and breakfast and thats £200 per person so £1200..... is this good or will it be cheaper to arrange hotel and transport separately. Will it be cheaper to drive or get ferry from dover? confused (as I say its all new to us). Didnt really want hubby driving on our first trip abroad though. Help please lol
My immediate thought for you is Davy Crockett Ranch as they are 6 person cabins, but it does mean you would need to drive and use the ferry (or tunnel for a faster but more expensive crossing). Might not be the cheapest option though. We always stay at DCR and drive there and yes, was daunting the first time, and we missed our exit and had to drive through central Paris. A good sat-nav is the key to that one! Do a mock booking on the Disneyland Paris site for a price on a Premium cabin, that may make your decision easier. Also notable is that breakfast is no longer included at DCR and is 6 euros pppn (take cereals is my advice). Hope this helps a little!"Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

The other place to stay is the explorers who have a shuttle bus from the hotel to the park and you could use eurostar from London Straight to the park. The cheap fares at £69.00 have gone on sale today for 2014 so check this out asap and book the explorers via trivargo.com0

Propoparcs and CE-Multi don't have the fantasy ticket in stock (need 4 adults and 2 kids). Does anyone know if this often happens? And do they get them back in? We are booked to go in Oct half term. Very worried!0

Phew - CE-multi has them back on!
But now i have another potential problem. I've registered with them and paid, but cannot log in! Do they send some kind of confirmation email out with a password on, as i wasn't asked to choose one when i first entered my address etc? Tried to log on, but comes up with error.0 -
hi bluepowell,
yes, they send you an email. if you don't receive one shortly, just email them and they'll send you one.0 -

Has anyone actually visited while the french schools have been off too? What was it like? We were wanting to visit in the October half term but are now worried it will be too busy. ThanksWon in 2015 - £100 amazon voucher, bearhug desk0 -

Not exactly, but we went early March and it was fairly busy as the Paris area schools were on holiday, so can only imagine what its like when all three zones are off school, as it looks like for October half term."Life moves pretty fast, if you don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it": Ferris Bueller

Every 2 years UK Schools are off for the week after Easter and the Continentals are back to school/work. This is normally the cheapest and quietest week to visit Disney. We went on 8th April this year.
We've been every 2 years on this rough date for the last 4 visits. We've had weather ranging from hot sunshine to snow.
But the biggest difference are the queues. We stayed on Pirates for 7 goes before we had to get off! We did so much in the magic 2 hour window for Disney hotel guests that we knackered ourselves out and actively turned down rides with queues of longer than 15 minutes because we were too tired to stand! The man without a signature.0 -
Just got back... Queues were horrendous with waiting times upto 80mins...certainly not worth for one minute ride... Hardly managed to get on 4-5rides in whole day...
No use of fast pass as very few rides n most of them they closed fast pass option after 12..0
