We weren't overly impressed with the Lucky Nugget. They were closing not long after 5pm (in September. The park closed at 9pm!), we had the fish and chips which was very over cooked, and they forgot to bring us our drinks until we'd finished eating. We won't go back to be honest.

Has anyone been to Victoria's Home-Style Restaurant on Main Street? According to DLRP Magic (which also may be out of date) that they do hot roast beef and hot turkey sandwiches?? Would be a great change from a burger. Is that menu accurate? What are they like?

    http://www.dlrpmagic.com/planning/dining/restaurant-menus/victorias-home-style-restaurant/

It's so up my husband's street, he'd be terribly disappointed if he thought they were doing them and were good and then we were disappointed when we got there. Much better he knows they don't exist or aren't worth the money before we go! lol

    Thanks

Can anyone tell me how to buy the tickets from CE? I've paid the €20 to join, but it didn't ask me to set up a password. I'm trying to checkout my basket and it asks me to sign in, but I don't have a password. If I use the lost password bit the email it sends contains no password either!
What have I done wrong? :S

email them and explain - I know of one other person this happened to, and once they had emailed them, it was sorted out very quickly.

  • Hi,

Am just looking for a bit of advice as thinking of taking the kids to DLP as a surprise next year. I've read through some of the posts but still not sure what the best options are.

We have three children who when we are looking to go will be 12, 6 & 3. I have priced up to go in Feb 2014 on the DLP website and it came to £580ish for the 5 of us for 5 days/4 nights I think (without travel), however I read somewhere that sometimes things can be shut down during Feb so am looking at alternatives. It needs to be school holiday time really but I can allow a day or two at the most in school time.

I've looked at the cemultiavantages website and I see that there is an offer on for the annual passports, €125 for an adult and then you can buy a childs passport for €35. Am I right that it is one passport at the reduced child price for every adult one purchased? So I would have to purchase 3 at full price and could get 2 discounted? I don't want to purchase them yet as we won't be going for so long, do they always have this offer on?

I am not sure how we will be travelling yet, we don't drive so will no doubt be eurostar?? Travel to london stay over in travelodge for night and then eurostar next day. Is it possible to get the eurostar cheap? I can't see flying being a cheaper alternative but as the fares won't come out until next year I am struggling to know how much this is likely to be?

We will probably just stay in a hotel that we can get a shuttle from rather than a disney hotel as I presume this will be the cheapest option?

I have tried pricing up a disney hotel for around the May school holidays but the only hotel it is giving me as available is the Davy Crocket Ranch but as we don't drive this isn't suitable.

And last but not least how many days should we stay? I was thinking 2 days in the parks at first but now after reading some posts it would seem that might not be long enough??

Thank you in advance for anyone that can be any help, sorry for soooo many questions!! :)

yes, you're right in your understanding of cemultiavantages offer. Don't buy them until at the very earliest 5 months before you will be going to DLP, as they have an expiry date on them.

the cheapest fare on Eurostar (which to be perfectly honest you are unlikely to get during UK school holidays) is £69 return per adult, £49 return per child, under-4s are free but they don't get a seat.

yes, for 5 of you this will be the cheapest option.

most people, for a first trip, seem to do at least 2 nights and 3 days in the park. If you're considering May half term 2014, avoid the 29th - its a major public holiday in France and that makes the DLP parks very busy.

don't do October half term if its the week which includes 31st October - its very busy at DLP that week and its expensive because all French, and most European, schools are on holiday that week.

end of August, just before the girls go back to school, will be better. How many days were you thinking of for your visit?

even better - wait until Feb half term next year - its the cheapest time to go to DLP.

    Hi
Just wanted some advice really, was considering booking Disneyland for 3 nights, 2 days in the park between Christmas and New Year as a surprise for the wife/son. We have a son who will be 2 and a half at the time but was wondering if this would be too young for him to enjoy the park? He loves Mickey Mouse and many of the other characters.

We also have around 50k in Avios points and wondered if anybody had any experience in using them for Disney?

    Thanks David
