it will be very busy at DLP that week - as well as all French schools, you've got a lot of UK schools, as well as a lot of other European countries, on holiday.

You're better to book it all separately, so I'd start as soon as you know your dates to be honest.

Book Eurotunnel yourself (you can use tesco clubcard points to pay for it), then the hotel through the likes of expedia, travelrepublic, alpharooms, trivago, etc etc.

If its just 2 days park tickets you want, and you can do 2 consecutive days in the parks, cemultiavantages have a great deal at the moment, 59 euros per 2-day ticket. I'm not sure if they are valid as far as end of October at the moment, but you could always email them and ask the question.

eta - the link to the 59 euros tickets says they are only valid until the end of September, so you may have to wait a bit before booking park tickets for a good price -

Thanks ballet, any ideas on the explorers hotel, is there likely to be any better deals on than now just booking direct with them now, approx £400 for 3 nights in a 4berth room?

i'm not seeing anything spectacular for the Explorers for that time of year - but as you are driving have you considered val d'europe? The HiPark Serris is brand new, its apartments, and you can get a suite there for your family for less than £300 for 3 nights at the end of October -

  • Hi,

We are going to DLP at the very end of May for 3 nights/4 days, how much should we take for spending money? we are going half board and I am planning on taking lots of snacks into the park as well as drinking water bottles to refill in there. There will be mtself, my husband and my 5 yr old twins (we also have costumes already :D we are on a limited budget but I really want us all to enjoy the trip)

    Thanks in advance :)

if you already have your breakfast and dinner included on half board, you can easily do DLP for 4 of you on less than 100 euros per day, and thats including money for souvenirs, lunch and snacks. If you have a look on DLRPMagic they have menu and prices for the counter service restaurants, so you could get an idea of what its likely to cost you for lunch.

    Hey guys,

Just need a little advice if possible.

Basically i'm a single dad and every year I treat my daughter for her birthday and take her away somewhere for a few days.

2 years back we went to Alton Towers for 2 days, stayed in the Splash landings Hotel and had a fantastic time. Last year we did the same but also took her to Longleat Safari park on the way there and spent a day looking at animals before driving to Alton Towers.

This year her mum is already taking her to Alton Towers with a deal she got in The Sun newspapar so I need a new idea.

So far i've come up with Euro Disney. Now I want to make this extra special because it will be her birthday and Xmas gift combined as i'm planning to take her in December.

So I was looking at the Disneyland hotel which for 2 nights and 3 days for me and my daughter, costs a little over £1200 which incs b&b and park tickets.

That's basically 3 times the amount of what I spent at Alton Towers last year!

So I was wondering, has anyone stayed in the Disneyland Hotel before? If so is it worth the crazy money? Also are there any reputable websites out there which are cheaper than disney themselves? I tried https://www.eurodisneydirect.com and they are a few hundred pounds cheaper than the actual Disney site.

    Any help/info would be great!

    Thanks!

I live near alton towers, have stayed at the Alton towers resort hotel, and am a regular visitor to both alton towers and disneyland paris with my daughter.
in my opinion there is NO comparison between the 2.
Alton towers is a theme park, at DLP you are in a complete Disney bubble.
there are loads of ways of having a fabulous princessy time at DLP without staying at the disneyland hotel.
in december the sequoia lodge is fabulous or you could stay at the dream castle and buy annual passes for park access.
anyone can visit the disneyland hotels public areas to have a meal there, meet the characters, have a princess makeover etc etc. i,d consider those things instead of paying to stay at the disneyland hotel.
how old is your daughter and how many nights at dlp were you thinking of?

Hey guys many thanks for responding!

Yes I did notice the Dream Castle hotel actually and what you've said about being able to visit the Disneyland hotel and still being able to do all the activities even without staying there makes me think staying in cheaper accomadation would be a much better idea!

My daughter will be 9 when we go which is the perfect age IMO.

I was thinking about driving actually, as we only live in Essex, then we could hop on a ferry which seems to the cheapest option.

balletshoes is the expert! I'll leave her to give you the best advice! But do you have any tesco clubcard vouchers? You could use them for the channel tunnel?
