    Hello,
I am after some advise. I would love to take my daughter who is 7 to DLP. Are there any cheaper alternative hotels near by, the DLP ones are coming in too high for me right now. The flights are fine.

Also where is best to get the passes from?

    Thank you,
    Seker

what dates were you looking at? DLP has just finished a big discount offer at the end of January, it could be another week or so before another discount offer comes out.

Park entry tickets for the duration of your stay is included in onsite hotel price if you book through Disney.

    Hello,

Any weekend in April or May looks ok for flights. Have just looked at the hotel's near in the other posts and once you have factored travel and tickets. The DL hotels are not too bad really.

Ah, I really want to take her...

you won't see the best DLP has to offer on a weekend - the parks get packed compared to midweek, because its so near to Paris, so lots of local guests at the weekends.

You've just missed the cheapest booking period (January to nearly end of March each year is under-12s go free time, and there were some great prices, 2 nights free on a 4-night stay for example, on sale from August last year for this timeframe). But maybe the next discount offer from DLP will still be for the period up to the end of March, so you might find a decent price yet :).

Saturday check-in makes your trip to an onsite Disney hotel the most expensive, any other day checking in will bring the price down generally. Disney regularly come out with 30% or 40% offers, ideally you want under-12s free too.

    Hello,
Thank you for the information, much appreciated. I'm considering looking a 2/3 nights mid week instead to avoid busy periods.

Also after researching a bit I am considering a hotel just outside DL with a 2 day ticket. Has anybody booked tickets from travelrepublic for park entry? They do seam a lot less than the DL website???

My next worry is getting from the airport to hotel. Only ever done this via resort transfers before, so any tips anybody?

Sorry for so many questions... Just trying to find the best deal for my budget and to make a 7 year old happy (if only for 2/3 day's)!!

lots of ticket agents will sell legitimate DLP park tickets cheaper than the gate price at DLP - travelrepublic should be fine (I've booked offsite hotels through them for DLP several times).

depending on the time your flights arrive/depart, either TGV high speed train (10-minute journey, no stops, direct from terminal 2 at Paris CDG airport to the gates of DLP) or shared shuttle transfer with rstransports (costs less than 40 euros each way, very convenient, I usually take rstransports from the airport to my DLP hotel, then the TGV back on my last day from DLP to the airport). You can find prices, times etc of the TGV on the Rail Europe or sncf.fr sites.

I'm sure you'll make her very happy with a trip to DLP :).
  • Thanks all for your help. I couldn't give up, although I know its going to be freezing, I have decided to take advantage of the 3d + 2n get 2d & 2n free in combination with kids under 12 free.

I am now going in feb half term for 5 days, 4 nights for the 4 of us for 482.50 after quidco. Have got flights for £300 as didnt fancy attempting to drive at that time of year so £800 all in for 5 days - well happy. :T

Only 11 days to go and have a lot of research and planning and just need help with two more things.

I want to phone ahead to the the hotel (Cheyenne) and request a specific block - does anyone know the cheapest way to do this from the UK?

Also, what is the cheapest way to call through to make dining reservations for Cafe Mickey and Annettes. Assuming I dont need to book for a buffet at the Chuck Wagon?

Also, am I right in thinking that as the parks shut at 8 that no restaurants inside will be open for dinner so we are restricted to hotels or Disney village?

Thank you all for your help so far x

cheapest way is by using a discount dial number from your landline ie 08442009090, then when prompted, the direct number for the Cheyenne hotel is 0033 160 456200. This will cost you less than 1p per minute.

Also, what is the cheapest way to call through to make dining reservations for Cafe Mickey and Annettes. Assuming I dont need to book for a buffet at the Chuck Wagon?

again - use the discount dial number, when prompted use the disney dining reservations number 0033 160 304050. You can't book for Annettes though, no reservations allowed there. And if you're on the phone booking Cafe Mickey, you might as well book for the Chuck Wagon too ;).

Also, am I right in thinking that as the parks shut at 8 that no restaurants inside will be open for dinner so we are restricted to hotels or Disney village?

yes, if the parks close at 8pm, none of the park table or buffet service restaurants will be open for meals after about 4pm (and you may have to book in advance to get that time). Plaza Gardens may be the exception, but none of them will be open after 7pm at all.
  • You are a diamond - thanks again balletshoes xx

Hi am after some advice please!

We are wanting to go to DLP on the 5th December 2013 for 3 nights. By then we will be a family of 2 adults, 1 x 15 year old, 1 x 4 year old, 1 x 5 year old and a nearly 8 month old.
Basically what is the best way to do it? Me nor DH want to drive there or even hire a car (if can be helped) the other end.

I obviously want a MSE option but will pay a bit extra if it means we are in a hotel that provides a shuttle. I have been once about 6 years ago, but we were a family of 3 then and we travelled by coach, which was no problem then :)

So are we best to fly or Eurostar? Davy Crockett or 2 separate rooms in a hotel?

    Thank you :)
