  • Hi Durham and Balletshoes,

Just to let you know i'm booked, went for the Newport and decided to book some cheap flights from Leed Bradford to DLP and made such a saving. The flights and accommodation were 1580 from Ncl we have paid 1170 although need to book airport parking and arrange transfers nearer the time!

    Thanks for all your help.
  • Hi, I am looking to go to eurodisney around august this year,it will be me and the missus and our two children aged 5 and 3,Just wondering is it cheaper to book with euro disney or try independant sites. We would like a hotel with a swimming pool and just on a bed and breakfast basis for four nights, say arriving on the monday and returning home on the friday. We ideally would like to fly from manchester. Regarding tickets for the parks how do you buy these ? Any tips would be helpful. Many thanks for any advice you can give.

it will be cheaper for you to book your travel separately, and do that direct with the airline.

As to whether you want onsite or offsite, for comparison if you book onsite through Disney, at the moment its 2 nights free when you book 2 nights, which works out at around 38% off, both your kids are free, plus your breakfasts and park tickets for everyone is included in this price. The only 2 onsite hotels without swimming pools are the Santa Fe and the Cheyenne.

Offsite but very nearby, you have the Explorers, Dream Castle and Magic Circus hotels, all have swimming pools, all have a free shuttle bus to and from the parks all day every day. You can book these through various travel sites (travelrepublic, trivago, expedia, alpharooms, etc etc etc) without park tickets.
You can get your park tickets (fantasy annual passes) through cemultiavantages or promoparcs for around £220 total, you are buying 2 passes for the adults and then you get 2 free passes of the same kind for your children from the same company. Fantasy annual passes give you access to Extra Magic Hours no matter where you are staying, and you get souvenir and food discounts with an annual pass - have a look at DLRPMagic for their excellent information on annual passes.

    HI Balletshoes,

Hope you had a great Christmas!

I feel very guilty for asking this, as I'm sure you've probably posted similar on here many many times before (the thread is just SO long!), but I was wondering if you could help??

You probably don't remember, but we're planning on going to DLP for the week before Christmas (16th - 22nd Dec ish) for DD's 4th birthday. Because of the amount of nights, we're going to get annual passes (and then make the most of them with other family members throughout 2014.

I've researched annual passes of DLRPMagic, but we haven't sat down to work out dates and block out dates etc (we've a few months!!!!) so not 100% sure at this stage which one to go for. However, I know that cemultiavantages or promoparcs are the cheapest way to get annual passes. But could you give me a little help on these? We're looking at 2 adults and one 3/4 year old. She's 3 when we head off this December, but 4 most of the time we're there!

Princessbellesdad (above!) has asked a good question. How far in advance of actually going to the park and getting your annual pass can you order them from cemultiavantages or promoparcs? For example, could I order them in September, to activate in December, which means it will then last until December 2014? How early could I do that?

Are the 20th anniversary ones likely to disappear this summer? Is that why they're only valid until July? If so, I won't even look at those!

Which site would you say is better? Cemultiavantages or promoparcs?

Do they both offer free children's passes? Is that all the time or only certain times in the year?...

I know they're both in French, which I can't read, so I was wondering (very cheekily I know!) if you could give a step by step guide on how to order the passes? Doesn't one of the sites have a sign up charge? Or am I imagining that? Help! lol

I'm confident with booking the hotel (DIsney or non Disney!) separately to tickets, it's just the annual passes I'm a bit nervous about!

Many thanks in advance, and I'm so sorry for probably repeating a question asked so many times before!!!!

yes they will - the reason its only up to July at the moment is because you only have 6 months to make them into permanent annual passes at DLP once you've bought them, so its too early for an August trip to buy them yet :)

    Hi :).

For a trip in December, you can't buy your annual passes until June (you have 6 months once you buy them to make them into permanent annual passes at DLP, and once they are permanent, you have a year from the permanency date to use them again and again).

The 20th anniversary is running until September 2013 at the moment, so I don't know what will happen with the 20th anniversary version of the annual passes if the celebrations aren't extended past September.

I haven't used either promoparcs or cemultiavantages for annual passes, I'm passing on lots of information about them from members of another forum, the DISboards.

For the specifics of how to order, I'd recommend asking the folk who have already used the service :) -

  • Hi there
Avid user of MSE but first time posting looking for advice. Myself, hubby & two kiddies aged 4 & 2 will be heading off in Mar (got good deal 4n / 5days staying at NY £629 - travel paid for with tesco vouchers).
My question is in relation to booking the restaurants. My little girl is princess mad so I was hoping to book the dinner with princesses, then Blue Lagoon, Mickey Cafe & unsure for the other booking. We are half board so I know I will have to pay the extra for dinner with princess. My main question is regarding booking times & restaurant closures. We would want to go see the Disney dreams every night so with those of you that have been there recently, what would be the best time to book dinner to make sure we see the show. Also what is the latest time we can book for Blue Lagoon.
Also do we have to book for 'meet Mickey Mouse'.
Lastly, I'm thinking of the Buffallo Bill show (paying the extra in top if our vouchers) - should I.
Any general info for a first timer would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks
