after reading a few reviews on rstransports I decided against going with them as i found quite a few reviews saying they didnt turn up even though they had been paid in advance so I have gone with john at ezyshuttle as recommended by everyone, costs more but i'd rather have peace of mind. Have booked cafe mickey for the day before we come home and the person on the phone took details of our 2 boys birthdays and the characters are going to bring their birthday cake over :-)

Literally everything is paid for/arranged. Changed my euros today too! 40 days to go :-)

OH NO!!! I have booked with RS Transports - we go a week on friday!!! I really hope they turn up, I am really worried now!!!

Don't worry - I've prepaid and used rstransports half a dozen times now for the journey between CDG and Disney, and they've always been completely reliable. Take their phone number with you (its on the confirmation email) and if the driver is not there straightaway when you come out of your exit gate, call them. At the very latest they've been 10 minutes late picking me up on one occasion, but on another I was 20 minutes early getting to our pick-up point, called them, and they were there to collect me within a couple of minutes :). rstransports work out of CDG airport, so they are never far away.

Have you priced up the hotel and flights separately? The Dream Castle is available on many online agents websites (try travelrepublic, alpharooms, trivago etc).

The journey from the airport to the Dream Castle is around 30 minutes by road - you can either take the TGV high speed train, a shared or private shuttle from rstransports, or the VEA Disney coach. You can get prices of all of these from their websites.
  • Hi,
We are planning to take our 2 year old in April and were thinking about staying on site, probably sante fe. Would it be worth us stating off site for the money we'd save? Is there much difference in shuttle times etc? Not ready sure what advantages we'd gain from being on site!! Would we need park tickets for our daughter?
  • I've just come back from our trip (Nov 8 - 12).
Weather held up when we were there and it was great! A tad cold but it was manageable - we had sun as well. It did rain on the Saturday night but the rain didn't come until just right after the park closed at 6.30pm and by that time we were already in the big Disney Store outside the park so we just waited 30mins for the rain to stop before heading to the restaurant

Cafe Mickey that I booked on that saturday.. all I can say is I would not go back there! The food and service was bad!
The only good thing about it was meeting the characters.

Thanks for the info. Now I know how easy it is to visit Disney by train!

Cheyenne was great as well. My 5yr old jumped straight onto the top bunk bed and enjoyed sleeping there. (the top was more secure than the bottom as the top had a wall to stop them falling off but the bottom bed was open and had no wall). Now he wants a bunk bed at home!

no, you won't need park tickets for your daughter (anyone under aged 3 is free at DLP).

It really depends how many days you are thinking of going for, and if you can get a good offer onsite at the Santa Fe, as to whether you'll save a lot of money going offsite.

With young children I'd say onsite is better at DLP - mostly because you can walk/stroll from all the onsite hotels to the entrance to the parks in about 15 minutes (even the Santa Fe and Cheyenne, which are the furthest away). For any offsite option you will need to take the shuttle buses or local trains depending on where you're staying, you can't walk really from anywhere offsite in less than about 40 minutes, and thats a hard walk at the end of the park day when you've already walked for miles without really being aware of it. The shuttle buses aren't the easiest things to navigate with a young child or a pushchair, and April could be busy (you have Easter weekend right at the beginning of the month, then UK school holidays, then French school holidays).

eta - I see from previous posts that you're going for 3 nights/4 days. For your dates how much is the Santa Fe coming in at just now (as I'd assume thats full price?). You could work out how much 40% off that would be (as I'd guess thats probably the maximum discount you're going to get on a package from Disney in April) and then work out how much cheaper it is getting 2 annual passes for park tickets and staying offsite?
