I just wanted to say a huge thank you to all who gave advice and help for taking the family for the first time to DLP. We had a fantastic time.
We drove at the begining of half term from Lincolnshire to Dover, got the ferry then drove to the Magic Circus hotel. We went to the Disney village in the evening and saw the Buffalo Bill show, brilliant and good food.
Breakfast was huge and we took a few rolls and fruit for the day. OH is disabled so we used the easy access pass and went on all the best rides and yes I do mean all of them :) We saw the parades and although it was cold the weather stayed dry. Not too busy really either.
We stayed until the dreams light display which was brilliant and then stayed over one more night before driving and ferrying home the next day.
We all had a fabulous time and have decided to save up for Florida in 2014.
    Thanks again for everyones help
  • after reading a few reviews on rstransports I decided against going with them as i found quite a few reviews saying they didnt turn up even though they had been paid in advance so I have gone with john at ezyshuttle as recommended by everyone, costs more but i'd rather have peace of mind. Have booked cafe mickey for the day before we come home and the person on the phone took details of our 2 boys birthdays and the characters are going to bring their birthday cake over :-)

Literally everything is paid for/arranged. Changed my euros today too! 40 days to go :-)
  • im thinking of taking kids to disneyland for either one or 2 days for christmas to see santa is it worth it? is it too busy to enjoy? are q's for santa too long? also where do you suggest i buy tickets from is there anywhere cheaper than the gate?

  • Hoping someone may be able to help, online it says that the Hotel Santa Fe can accomodate 5 people in one room but it doesn't give me the option to try to book one room online. Is this an option that I will only get if I call or do these rooms sell out super quick?
I am hoping to book a 3 night break next July / August in school holidays, it will be 3 adults, a 7 year old and a 6 year old. Whilst we could just about afford the current deals stay 2 nights get 2 nights free I am hoping to hang on and get a deal on 3 nights so avoiding the spending money for the 4th day.
My husband and I took our little boys last year for the first time and 3 nights seemed just long enough for us too, but I appreciate that the current deal is effectively 50% off.
Also I wondered has anyone ever travelled with the Sun £9.50 day trips to Disney, its starting this saturday in the paper but I seem to recall this happened last year too and wandered if this could be an option for us if we tagged a hotel stay on each end of the day in Disney.

Sorry there are so many questions there. Thankyou for any advice.

the Sun deal last year was for trips taken in January to March only, was for a family of up to four, and was more expensive on half term dates in February.

If the family room is not coming up for you at the Santa Fe on the Disney site when you try to book for 5, then they are probably already booked (I believe there are only a couple of these rooms at the Santa Fe). It might be worth calling Disney though, to see if theres anything available for a family of 5 - if you're at all flexible with your dates they might be able to find something to suit you.
The current 2 nights free when you book 4 works out at around 38% off (its worked out on 3 days and 5 days rather than 2 nights and 4 nights) but thats still a decent discount :).
  • Hi guys, looking to book our first trip to Disneyland next June and have just had authorisation to take my boys (13 and 10) out of school for 3 days so we are planning on going 6th June to 10th June :j.

The Sequoia is coming up as £922 for 4 nights and 5 days on the 2 nights get 2 free deal and was going to book Eurostar seperately from Ebbsfleet which is £253 for the 4 of us. Looked at flights from Birmingham and they will be about £450 with transfers on top of that so won't go for flying.

Does this seem like a good deal or should I book the Eurostar while its cheap and wait till nearer the time to book the hotel? Obviously don't want them to get booked up though.

Thanks in advance for any help :D

yes, definitely book the Eurostar now, those fares won't stay that cheap for long :).

The hotel price is okay - you could get it for around £100 less in total if you book one adult only in on the package, and then get fantasy annual passes for the other 3 in your party from promoparcs or cemultiavantages. The one-adult package would be £508 for your dates, the annual passes at 125 euros each plus one admin fee would be around £320 total. Annual passes give you good discounts on food and souvenirs etc whilst at DLP - have a look at DLRPMagic for annual passes, you'll get some great information on there.
  • Thank you balletshoes :). How does booking one adult on the package work? Can the others stay in the hotel and have breakfast with the fantasy annual passes? I'm going to book Eurostar tonight before the prices go up. Will have a look at the DLRPMagic site in a bit

yes, the others get added to the room, including breakfast for you all, when you check in. The receptionist will print you off a new easypass which will state 4 guests in the room, rather than one.
Now, some of the hotel rooms onsite have one king bed rather than 2 doubles, so if you're going down the one-adult package route just phone the hotel direct a week or so before your check-in date, and let them know there will be a total of 4 guests in the room checking in :).
