    Thank you for that.

Another quick question do you know if kettles are available in the Cheyenne?

you can hire them for a refundable 30 euro deposit- I take my own travel kettle.

    Hi everyone!!!

This is such a brilliant thread! Everyone is so helpful and useful!

I have been reading back (over 300 pages over 2 months!!!) and have now decided to take the plunge and ask a question!! I have just had an e mail from dlrp saying 40% off etc etc and I was after a venue for my 30th birthday end of November with my husband and twin 3 year old. Wanted to visit both Euro Disney and Paris so thought this would be ideal!!

Done a quick calc and cheapest is Newport Bay at £390 for 2 nights and Santa Fe for 3 nights is £320.

Our intentions are to drive there via the tunnel as we have done that previously but my main concerns are:

    1. Is this the cheapest deal ? ie is the 40% a norm?

40% is a good deal, its unlikely to be bettered for the end of November, unless theres a flash sale comes up in the next couple of weeks (but then you won't know if your hotels and your dates will be included in any flash sale).

    2. I have tried the French site and it keeps coming up as errors. Is the offer not the same on the french site? My limited French translates as a similar offer.

if you're seeing the full 40% off on the UK site on both your hotel choices, then its similar on the French site at the moment

    3. How far from DLRP is Paris with two 3 year olds?

sorry, can't help with this one, I've never gone to Paris from DLP.

    4. In your experience, is the weather in November too extreme?

it can be cold, so you might need skiwear and thermals - its generally a bit colder there than in the UK at that time of year.

    5. I note that balletshoes has mentioned on several occasions about booking in 1 adult with 2 children (free) and then requesting extra adult when checking in. If I do this it saves £90. Has anyone ever done this? Don't fancy turning up and hubby not being allowed to stay!!

    I've done it - its fine :).

    Many thanks for your help

    Lugalugs

    hope this helps,

We were due to fly to Eurodisney tomorrow for a 4night stay with two very excited children-however the Norovirus has struck our house so unable to go :-(
Have tried to call the Customer Services number on my booking confirmation, but closed until tomorrow. I want to rebook for my son's birthday in November and anxious that the 40% off deal ends tonight-does anyone know how likely Disney will be to transfer my booking at no additional cost, or shall I book the holiday tonight while the deal is on, and hope my travel insurance will pay out for the one tomorrow?
Also, we are looking to go 18-23 Nov so how cold will it be, and does that coincide with the French school holidays please?
Balletshoes, I hope you see this before the offer ends!!!

    oh no, what a nightmare!
Your November dates are fine as far as French school holidays are concerned, all French schools holidays in November finish on 11th. I'd wait until tomorrow, call Disney and explain the situation. Hopefully they can change your booking but I don't know whether there would be any extra costs (ie is your November dates now coming out at the same price as the hotel etc that you were due to book into tomorrow?). Take a screenshot if you can, of the November price today (ie while the offer is still on). I don't know if Disney will be able to do anything about this, but in your shoes I'd phone them first before re-booking myself.

I hope you can get it all sorted, and you're all feeling better soon.

Thank you! The price in November is cheaper, even if we go for an extra night. We have paid £923 for 4 nights in the New York for tomorrow, and the Nov price is £786 for 5 nights or £649 for 4 nights.
Even if they will change with literally a few hours notice, they are unlikely to refund the difference, do you think?
What I was going to do was get a Drs note, claim the hotel cost back on the insurance (with a £50 excess), rebook the hotel for the cheaper price and use the "extra" money towards the cost of rebooking the flights-Flybe will transfer the flights but its about £200 more.
So we will end up out of pocket, but just worried about taking the chance with Disney tomorrow after the offer has ended. What do you think? xx

if you're sure the insurance you have will refund the cost of your holiday, then yes, go with your plan :) - as I say, I have no idea if Disney would allow you to change your dates and what fees they would charge you for doing this.

Hi, does anyone know if the Sports Bar in Disney Village will show premier league game that are on ESPN?? We are going this weekend and my son wants to watch the Arsenal game at 6.30pm. Thought we could grab some dinner and watch and return to park
  • Have just got back from taking my 6 year old daughter to disney and would just like to say thanks to all who help on this thread. We had an amazing time! And would defo recommend the character restaurants, especially cafe mickey. My daughter loved meeting all the characters without the pushing and shoving you get in the park. But defo book before you go as we saw a lot of families being turned away.
Amazing time was had by all :j
  • We were thinking about going in the 1st week of the school holidays. We had considered the Feb Half term but were put off by previous reports of -10, my daughter doesn't like the cold. The thing is everyone I talk to, even people mad on disney, seem to grimace slightly whenn I suggest that we are going in the school holidays. Does anyone have any thoughts/ experience?
