  • Hi, what actually happens when you order your tickets from the Ireland website?
Do they mail you actual tickets or they just email you? (the country still bothers me on the checkout page as I can't change it from Ireland to England so I want to know how I'm gonna get my tickets)

no-one gets sent any tickets at all from DLP, it is just the hotel/park tickets you're booking on the Irish site isn't it? You're not paying Disney to do the travel arrangements for you?

The process for everyone, regardless of country, when you have hotel and park tickets booked through Disney, is that they email you your booking confirmation and this has your booking reference number on it. This booking number and your passport is all thats needed when you check in. You get your room key, park tickets, half board vouchers if you've bought them, etc etc, given to you at your hotel when you check in.
  • Crystal clear!! Thank you!
And yes, just booking hotel and park tickets thru DLP ireland.
I'm booking eurostar separately from eurostar.com

Will be booking it tonight. 4nights and 5 days (was originally going for 3nights but 20euros more and it goes to 4nights so might as well)
And booking one Character Dinner pack as well with it.

    Will update tonight.

Oh, the character dinner pack, can that only be booked in advanced? we can't just turn up there for a table?
  • Oh and another question, how easy is it to get to Paris (Eiffel Tower) from Marne-la-Vall!e train station?
How far is it and how much does it cost? Is it a direct train journey?
  • We got a one-day travelcard which allowed all-day travel on all trains, metro and buses and it cost 15 euros. We found it very easy to navigate round Paris using the metro map - but then I'm a native Londoner used to the London tubes and it's very similar. I really couldn't say how you'd find it if you weren't used to tubes - though the map I think is very logical to use. To get to the Eiffel Tower, you could get the RER(red line) from MLV to Charles-de-Gaulle-Etoille and then get the green line 5 stops to Bir Hakeim. The link to the metro map is here. http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http://www.aparisguide.com/maps/metro.gif&imgrefurl=http://www.aparisguide.com/maps/metro.htm&usg=__HM-7hHBA65Lb9j7PLY4WxtlPhkw=&h=1143&w=1134&sz=217&hl=en&start=1&zoom=1&tbnid=0sO_yQxDNqZW7M:&tbnh=150&tbnw=149&ei=IJ9RUIrHBqnF0QXDiYDgDA&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dmetro%2Bmap%2Bparis%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DX%26gbv%3D2%26rlz%3D1R2ADSA_enGB480%26tbm%3Disch&itbs=1

But be warned - when we were there last week, they seemed to be doing a lot of work so half of it was shut creating big queues so you may want to look into booking tickets in advance.

it depends - which character dinner is it you're thinking of paying in advance for?

I wouldn't pay in advance for that one at all. The a la carte choices are not that expensive at Cafe Mickey, the kids meals are expensive though for what you get, so at Cafe Mickey we order pizza and sides from the a la carte menu to share for the whole table (like Pizza Hut), then just pay the bill at the end of the meal.
I would call the Disney dining reservations line before you go though (a week or 2 before is fine) to book a table at Cafe Mickey for the date and time of your preference, because its a popular restaurant and you may not get in if you don't reserve in advance. You don't have to pay anything to book a table.
  • ^^ That's excellent! Thank you!

I've looked on expedia.co.uk and it looks like they're roughly £20 cheaper than disney.ie website. Am I missing something? like missing extras thru expedia?
Should I really just book from disney.ie website? (can't upload photo thru work but I will edit in a bit - thru my home computer)
